Hi Ladies,
Mad Hatter Day is a holiday that is celebrated on October 6th and is a day that is based on the Hatter character taken from Lewis Caroll’s book, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. It is a day characterized by general silliness and by people wearing silly hats – normally a top hat as worn by the Hatter himself.
Alice
Here I am, with a collection of hats, some of which are unusual, (though my mad hatter style top hat got stolen years ago).
And I didn't know about this? lol!
Hi Dianne,
Well now you know, lol! And we thought the ladies at the Kentucky Derby wore zany hats.
Sorry to hear you’re hat was taken.
Alice
Yes, it was my "undertaker" hat when I played the role now and then at Halloween at the living history museum. We did a humorous skit with a friend of mine, who played the "uncooperative corpse". It was a hoot!
Don't know why I never got around to replacing it, though I wasn't doing that at the museum any longer, I liked that hat!
Don't know why my reply didn't link. Oh well, see above ...
Hi Dianne,
This and the one above came through.
Alice
Hi Dianne,
That must have been a fun night at the museum.

Hi Alice,
Down with Mad Hatter Day!
If I had to restrict my general silliness to just one day of the year... it doesn't bear thinking about.

Well,....i live and learn.
I thought Alice's adventures in Wonderland was all about you at CDH!!!
I agree with Marti....being mad for just one day....nooooooo.
That's not going to happen at Scarlett Towers is it!!
