Hi girls!!!! I was cruising the internet looking for solutions to my rats nest problems regarding make-up all over hecks half acre in my bathroom! A common enough problem...I am sure. If you really want to present like a female you should copy my ex wife and daughter.........those two would never get lost in the woods or desert....just follow the trail of clothes and make-up strewn about whereevr they have just been!! Me on the other hand...I am a Felix Unger when it comes to my wardrobe and make-up. Hence the hunt for someway and thing to organize my stuff. I di see this very appealing acrylic make-up holder....BUT...who in the world of sweet Fanny Adams uses 40 lipsticks????????? I know we like to have our lips match our outfits....but 40???
Question to you all is this......How many lipsticks do you have in your collection? Also, what color do you use the most? Also....should lipstick color not be complimentary to hair and eye color? Let me know your thoughts on this. Thank you my Sisters! Rats....just dropped a piece of lasagna down my clevage....oooowww!!!!!

Me again.........in addition to above.......wife leaves lipsticks all over....my team leader Malamute..Niki, finds same and eats one...bright red. I come in...what the hell????? what have you done???Fighting again??? Come here.....what??? Lipstick....and the fight began!! It is bad enough that I usually come in last in the sled dog races....but to be jeered for having a drag dog team.....well that is way past acceptable.

Hello,
First in regards to organizing makeup and brushes.
I went to the Salvation Army Thrift Store and found glass rectangle containers. probably used for a small flower arrangement at one time. I then went to the Dollar Store and got some small pink gravel.
Filled the containers with the gravel about 1/4 depth.
And stood the brushes on end. One container for face, another for eyes, blending etc.
I have a five drawer cart on wheels. One drawer for foundations, primers, concealers another drawer for lip stuff, another drawer for contour, blush, bronzer, highlighter, another drawer for eyeshadow etc etc.
I have found pinterest excellent source for lipstick and eye colour/shadow combinations but too be honest I have done a purple eyeshadow and purple lip combination and have done the same with blues and greens.
I don't follow a hair colour/eye colour rule. But if my eyeshadow is bold I tend to turn down the volume on the lips and vise versa.
Instead of multiple lip sticks you may want to consider a lipstick palette.

I too have the same problem. I was keeping everything in a large shoe box. Lipstick on one end eye shadow and liner in the middle and foundation at the other end. Along with nail polish and my brushes laying on top of eveything. And then one day strolling thru Walmart I spied a professional make up case with multi levels. Now every thing has a spot. I love it. I usually have about 30 lip sticks at any given time. From reds to pinks to purples and all the shades in between. My three favorite colors. Yes, I do coordinate lipstick, blush and shadow.
