Interesting article in the LA Times.

Very interesting article.
As a Mexican crossdresser, I feel very proud of muxes, though I haven't actually met one yet.
Thanks for sharing!

Due to the nature of the Americas is it no coincidence that native indians in the north have 'Two spirits' being both male/female or intersexed.
In India the Hiraja are males who live as females
Indonesia the Bugis people have FIVE genders Male, Female, Female man, Male female and the Bissu, an androgynous priest.
All seemed quite simplistic and think all predate us as we once had two then Trans was added but I have lost count of genders now.
Sadly, down here in OZ they did a subscription block

Muxes are highly honored among their families and communities, they have been part of daily life for a very long time. They get treated with such respect unlike the western world who see us as freaks when all we want is to express ourselves. We don’t harm anyone, just want to go about our daily lives as everyone else. I am glad more people got these information, thank you
