OMG I feel like an idiot. I just discovered dozens of unread comments in my public photos going back to when I posted them over 3 months ago! I can't believe it never occurred to me to look. I don't remember getting any notifications but maybe I just missed them. Anyway, my deepest apologies to anyone that felt ignored. I'll try to get caught up as quickly as I can.

Don't feel bad, my photos are almost a year old and I have never replied to any comments made on mine. Didn't know you could do that......
I personally think it’s lovely when someone comments on your photo .
Comments are great aren't they, even the rude ones and a simple 'thank you' is not only good manners but can soon lead to a casual friendship, having said that I don't always reply but when you go back through your photos and count your 'likes', chances are that one of them are from me!
Anyone who takes the time and has the courage, regardless of the outcome and open themselves to scrutiny deserve at least a tick of acknowledgement don't they?

Yes, ladies, I was surprised when I recently noticed the same thing and have passed along a few very belated thank yous...you can get lulled into thinking the normal notifications capture all responses.
For some reason this site does not tell you when someone comments on your picture. If any admins are reading, I think that's a function you might consider adding.
