I'd much rather my daughter lose a school Sports Day race to trans girl who has the confidence to enter the race as a girl, than to win a race of purely cis girls.
...Sports Days are about building character and confidence. It might be disguised as a race, but if all you focus on is crossing the line first, then you've already lost.
