I got a new mini skirt I absolutely love, but as a bonus... it has pockets. Which reminded me over the years of girls saying things over being excited about having pockets. Only I didn't really understand until I had my own girly wardrobe. I get it now, and I share in your feminine excitement 
@nicolealamo I've got a few dresses and skirts with pockets but I find I forget to use them and end up carrying my phone around the house rather than in my pocket

Enjoy your new miniskirt. You’re right about pockets. Skorts have had pockets but they aren’t deep. Perhaps a key or a tube of lipstick might fit.

Pockets are rare. When I sell stuff on Vinted, I highlight when an item has pockets. These items sell much faster.
The only plus side to not having pockets is the need to carry a handbag/purse. Gotta love a bag!
The only thing worse that not having pockets is when the manufacturers fit fake pockets. They look like pockets, they might even have zips, but they are just for show. This really annoys me!

I bought a coat (shown in my profile pictures) and that appeared to have fake pockets but my wife got out her tiny pair of scissors, scythed through the very light stitching and, lo and behold, real pockets. Apparently, the stitiches are put there to hold the shape while people are trying it on in the shop.

@rebeccabaxter Yes Becca, I've fallen foul of this a few times. Sadly only in boy mode xx.

@dazzler Maybe I should get a purse or handbag 😊 I feel like I would definitely lose it.
@nicolealamo I don't think you ever lose a handbag as one's life lives in it. I'm constantly checking its presence and accessing its contents: phone, purse, brush, keys, other stuff.
@nicolealamo Bags are important to me now. Before, in drab mode, I used to stuff as much as I could into my pockets (wallet, keys, coins, parts) and then carry everything else somehow. Phones became awkward.
With some tighter fitting clothes, such as elastasized skinny jeans with tiny pockets or no belt loops, having a practical shoulder bag is necessary.
I walk a lot and I often need to carry a few reusable shopping bags with me, too. I can't carry everything with me today if I don't have a big enough bag.
Right now I find having a small knapsack leaves my hands free to carry things without a shoulder bag flopping around getting in the way on one side. Besides, using a knapsack helps to highlight the bumps on my chest. 😘
If I have a skirt with pockets, the skirt needs to be elastic waist and one size too small, or else any weight in the pocket will tend to pull the skirt down (as a genetic male, I don't have hips). If I have a dress with pockets, I can usually put my phone in it while going out for a walk. But with skirts, I usually go with the fanny pack instead while walking.
Due to the lack of pockets I have made tote bags and purses a part of my life now. I can carry everything I need and dont miss those pockets
