A couple of fun things happened when my wife and I visited our favourite ladies fashion shop on Saturday, so I thought I would share them with you all.
I saw a (fairly short) denim skirt that I really liked the look of, so I took it into the changing room and came back out into the shop area to see what some of the staff (and my wife of course) thought of it. It seemed to get universal approval and the staff recommended I try one of the tan belts to accessorise it. While I was looking at the options another customer came up to me and pointed out a particular dress they liked and asked if we had it in a size 14 for her. WOW - I had suddenly become a member of the staff, yet I still don’t think I ‘pass’ that well! I was really chuffed (is that a word understood outside the UK?). Thankfully a real member of staff was nearby so I was able to hand the customer over to her. Later the store manager suggested she should get me onto the payroll - so maybe this should be my new career 🤔 .
Meanwhile my wife had gone off a few minutes earlier to try on a dress herself, so I went back to the dressing room area only to find that the curtain was closed over the changing cubicle I had been using. HELP. There was someone else in there! I did not want to speak in case I caused distress to whoever was using the cubicle. But I had left my other clothes (including my now precious new leather bomber jacket) and my handbag (aka purse) in there so I was a bit concerned. What on earth do I do now 😧 ??? I was actually getting quite worried. I retreated and loitered back out in the shop area until I decided I really needed to try and discover what was happening, so I went back and spoke quietly through the curtain only to find it was my wife using the same cubicle as me. Phew!
Well, it was just a couple of incidents which I thought might be amusing to some. Part of crossdressing life as it goes on I guess.
Living the dream, Rebecca!
Have fun Rebecca in your second career. Even with your employee discount that paycheck will go right back to the store.

Rebecca -
Sounds like a lovely day out with your wife. How nice to be offered a job when you're not looking. I can only imagine the panic when you saw the curtain closed on the changing room, glad that worked out okay.
XOXO

Great story! I love that you have such a place to shop and be as you are. Also, 'chuffed' is a fine Britishism that I adopted some years ago. I keep hoping it will catch on here...
I love it when out and about and normal, everyday things happen like this. It is winderful being treated just like one of the girls. It seems.like shops are more and more treating CDs just.like anybody else. Latwly it.seems when I ask if I can try something on, be it a dress or lingerie, the attitude is "of course, why do you even need to ask?"
This sounds so fun, and it had a great ending too. You are so lucky to have a wife who supports you and to get to have experiences like this one.
