Hi Everybody,
First, I want to say Merry Christmas and Happy upcoming New Year!!! I really hope and pray that everyone has a wonderful holiday this year and Santa brings you just what you wanted for x-mas!!!
So, I filed for my name/gender change last month, and when I did, I did some deep thinking first. As a much younger person I developed my female persona naming her Brenda, since my birth name is Bret. I wanted a name that was close to my own so I would be able to easily process it when someone called my name. And this still holds today for me.
But I am starting a new life, I am 8 months into HRT with plans to transition, and I want to start my new life without any negative background issues, memories or people from my past I would rather not see. I am no longer the person I once was, I have dramatically changed becoming a positive, compassionate, loving person who desearves a name with no history.
So, I decided to legally change my name to Breanna. Breanna is an Irish named and I have Irish blood in my body. (But I don't drink green beer) LoL The website will not let me change my User Name from Bren58 to Breanna, but I see my new name is showing up here. So, I'm sorry if anyone is, or has been confused in any of my posts or comments, I hope this clears things up.
And, I have been asked, so, you can call me Breanna, Bree or Bren, it doesn't matter to me, just don't call me late for x-mas dinner!!! LoL
Breanna is a lovely name. Wishing you an easy transition with any legal hurdles. Wishing you an easy smooth transition with your forthcoming physical changes to the woman you are meant to be! Hugs to you.
Thanks for the clarification. I think Breanna is a lovely name as well, but whatever your name is, its' you and yours.
Also, I'm glad to hear about your transition, filing to change name and gender is huge step forward. My total Best Wishes for a fabulous, and very very feminine 2020, and way beyond!
Amy
