Hi, gurls. I am blessed that my girlfriend is okay with me underdressing. In fact, she supports enough that she just ordered a bra and panty set for me. About a month ago, however, she drew a line in the sand and said she did not want to ever see me in feminine outerwear.
Last week, we attended an event where a lot of nice second-hand clothes were on a table as giveaways. We rummaged and I stopped when I found a black pleather skirt that I thought might fit me. She saw my reaction and put it in the bag of clothes we were taking. Then she added a white camisole, also about my size. I was very surprised by her sudden openness to me in femme outerwear.
I did not mention anything about the clothes for several days. Today, as I was preparing laundry, I asked her if I should wash any of the clothes she took home last week. She showed me that she already had washed her blouses. Then she said that I should try on the skirt to see if it fit me. She got it for me and she helped me put it on, Then she put the camisole on me. A few minutes later, she gave me one of the blouses. I wore these clothes for a few hours with her,
At one point, she joked that the outfit would look better with a pair of heels. I responded that we could go to the shoe store. She got serious and said we were not going to get me heels.
I did not get the impression that we were going to repeat this adventure, but I am so happy that at least today I could wear a small amount of femme wear at her apartment. I thought this would never happen. I hope this can happen more often. Today, I am a happy gurl.

How wonderful for you. As the saying goes slow and steady wins the race, not that we're in a race. I can tell you from experience it takes time for our SO's to come around to accepting us. When I first came out my wife didn't want anything to do with my dressing. Now we go shopping together and she asks if Suzanne would like something if she sees me looking at it. We've gone to thrift shops and shoe stores and just the other day we went to a high end boutique. On that trip we bought a pretty silk scarf with pins for it (it's a pink, black and white abstract print). In both shoe stores and a discount shoe store I have tried on shoes. I'm always out drab so it is even nicer to do shopping. She refers to Suzanne as a friend. Hopefully things will progress in a nice way for you.

Sounds like your dressing is headed in the right direction by spring you two will be out shopping dressed like two pretty ladies. Enjoy!

Congrats Cece and same here as myself and wife allways hit the thrift stores when we have to travel to the big city ha ha .. As we look around at dresses shoes and other girly items he he some how we allways find stuff for Stephanie and refer to her as a daughter or friend .. Once my wife walked away from me looking at dresses and i picked up one that was cute and said what do you think about this and the lady said it was cute also wife on other isle just laughed so i just said me too and walked away with it ..

Our roles are clearly defined. When we are shopping she asks if Suzanne would like something or if our girlfriend would like it, it helps to avoid questions or looks from others.
