National Coffee Day

Have my favorite blend french roast ready to start brewing in morning. Be ready when get up.  Folgers good till the last drop.  little bit of cream and no sugar.

Isn't every day coffee day? 🙂 I've got hazelnut in the coffee maker, ready to start brewing bright and early in the morning.

I keep 6-7 varieties on hand in whole bean form and grind what I need when I make a pot. All are medium or dark roast. Currently using a vacuum coffee maker but also have a French press, a Chemex pot for pour-over and Pyrex stove-top percolators. Most recent coffee acquisition is a medium roast by the Death Wish Coffee Company from Saratoga Springs, NY. They claim to have "The World's Strongest Coffee" (in terms of caffeine content).

I need my morning cup of coffee everyday.  Since this is the 29th, I've already celebrated nat'l coffee day !

My highlight (years ago) was trying cat poo coffee.  It was expensive, but at least I can say I tried it.

My next coffee to try is black ivory.

Well Alice....after some of the bizarre " Today is " offerings....I'm guessing coffee Day is quite a popular one...

I do like a couple of cups each morning....a great reviver!!!!

Cat poo coffee sounds......intoxicating!!!!

it is a cat in indonesia (??) that eats the coffee beans, and it can either poop it out or puke it out.  Something in the acid of this cat alters the beans and makes it quite a good cup of joe.

They have pickers that actually go out in the woods and look for the poop/puke, pick out the beans, and process them like any other coffee beans grown on trees.

It was on my bucket list and my wife thought I was nuts paying $25 for a cup of coffee.  At least I received a certificate stating I was crazy enough to pay for it and drink it.

Guess I shouldn't explain black ivory coffee then (elephant poo coffee).

I couldn't resist trying a cup or two of civit poo coffee (Kapi Luwak)in Indonesia where it comes from and where the prices weren't quite so outrageous. There is a logic to the process, believe it or not.

I'm barely a coffee drinker, so my opinion shouldn't carry much weight. It was alright. I'll take a pass on the elephant version!

I have to get my coffee every morning and come here seeing what all you girls have come up with since I left. I don't drink but one cup..... a 32oz cup... with hazelnut cream and no sugar. After digesting the happenings here and my 100% Columbian jumbo mug which kick starts my brain, its off to the loo for my morning... uh, exercise.
