I recently started a new job. We have a very large office building and are allowed to go in once a week if we wish. I do and there is never anyone there!
I'm getting close to deciding to start wearing professional looking womans clothes to the office. I'm not there yet but very much going that route.
One thing making this easier is the organization is very big on treating and accepting ALL people equally. So much so they have committees to address and work with staff on ways in which to be inclusive, and they do community work. One of these committees is LGBTQ (and more) focused.
I've thrown my name in the hat to be in and work with this committee! I can't wait to see where this leads but am excited about it!
Congrats Rebekka, sounds like you got very lucky working for such a progressive company. Way to Go! All you gals talking about wearing professional looking women's clothing to work (a style I really like) makes me think I should go back to the work world. Okay, I've thought about it.....NO. Being retired is just too wonderful; so much freedom. But I have to admit I am a bit envious of you having the opportunity to wear gorgeous female business attire to the office. I wouldn't be spreading the word too much though, there are alot of girls here that would love that, and may think about going after your job lol
