i am sitting in my prosthetist’s office getting my first ever pair of Mary Janes!They actually fit the first time . I can’t wear heels because of the brace on my’good’leg though my prosthetic has adjustable camber for heels. But now i have a lovely pair of black Mary Janes with other colors to follow.🥿😋🌹

Truer words were never spoken, Celeste. My first encounter with a salesperson was in a Payless shoe store, buying ballet flats and wedgies. Still looking for a pair of MJ's in my size.

my problem is because of my brace my shoes must be double depth which means i shop via catalogs in my prosthetist’s office. Fortunately he is a very understanding man who is supportive of my wardrobe choices
Bobbie, That issue would make shopping a bit more difficult, being limited by what is in a catalog. But you do have the catalog; I'm just a Bigfoot (with a high instep) who is mostly bypassed in either men's or women's footwear. Considering special order from FSJ, but I don't care much for their price list. Oh, well, we all have to live with what we have.
