New skirts!

Hope you get the courage to shave. Its an amazing feeling and once its done you'll never go back. Hassles yes but well worthwhile.

Colors , always look into bright shades. Dark skirts,  light tops and  Vice versa. Blend the colors as lite, dark greys , blues  try matching shades. I'm still learning and yes it can be quite confusing. I'm sure others will respond and likely will be better to explain. Dresses with shoes,  then  Accessorizing with jewelry. It's a overwhelming experience I must say.

Flirts, oops I mean skirts are one of my faves and with warmer weather on the way I'll be back in them way more often. There are many tops and blouses that can be paired with them, its dependant on your style. Have a look around at people or pics, at the mall, office building, mags and online ads, or the photo gallery right here on CDH. You're bound to find things that you'd find appealing.

Skirts are great and you can never have too many of them!  Although I quite possibly do...

As for what goes with them, well that depends on the style, colour, season etc. - from sweaters to t-shirts to blouses.  Just match or contrast colours/shades, but watch out for clashing colours.

As mentioned - watch others and see what they do, whether in real life or in magazines or on the tv.  There is an element of trial and error until you find the style that works for you and you feel comfortable in.  We've all bought things which we thought looked lovely; then you put it on and realise it just doesn't work on you...  It's all part of the fun and the learning.

This was also my very very first time wearing a skirt! It feels sooo good! Even shorts feel restrictive now lol

Speaking of which, I received a package in the mail from Amazon. It had a mini skirt, turquoise earrings and a pair of thigh highs. I put on the mini skirt and wearing it and a white blouse with forms. Also have on a pair of strappy shoes.                                            Don't be afraid to shave your legs. Once you shave, you'll always want them smooth for nylons.

Since my wife doesn't approve of me in a dress, most of my wardrobe revolves around skirts. For casual wear, a denim skirt and ladies' tee. For mid-length floral pattern skirt, it's a frilly bright top or long sleeve ladies' shirt; and I have two skirts in sunset orange, with matching tops, one short sleeve, the other long sleeve. Solid color skirts seem to mix well with any complementary colored femme top. No minis for me...not age-appropriate.

Here in Oz we have an "age appropriate" brand, (for "mature ladies" like me), ie Fella Hamilton.

They make lovely casual wear dresses, skirts, blouses, tops etc etc.

What's even more "appropriate" is when they go on sale and Caty buys A$100.00 plus skirts for circa 20-40 bucks..

That may explain why I have so many.

Same goes for long sleeve shirts/blouses and drop waist cardigans.

As for shaving. I'm booked next month to get rid of the leg and arm hair.. At last... My last "CD mountain" I want to climb. Just have to warn "She who must be obeyed" in advance..

I have three skirts, one is a knee length denim skirt that I bought for me, the other two belonged to my late wife. They both fit me, one is knee length and navy blue and the other is kind of flouncy floral and reaches my ankles. I wear them all in kind of rotation. The navy blue one is great with a white blouse to simulate office dress, the long one can be worn with baggy jumpers (sweaters) as a kind of hippy look and my denim skirt is great with tank tops and camis. I love that I can put my phone in the back pocket of my denim skirt, just like many girls seem to do.

I don't shave my legs but I do use a trimmer with a #4 guard on it about once a month. I am lucky that my leg hair is fine enough that, after trimming, I look smooth.
