Hi girls,

I assume it’s totally normal to feel a bit overwhelmed by all of this every now and then? I love what I’m learning about myself and am very excited to continue, but it’s so much to process sometimes! In addition, I’m looking at all of the clothes and accessories I’d love to have and it’s tough to be patient : )

Any tips?
❤️ Nicole

Same here. Going a bit stir crazy being shut up with no dressing opportunities! Doing lots of online window shopping tho, and I’m going to need a separate Instagram account for all the fashion stuff I keep liking 🤣

Hi Nicole,

Before I started purchasing my own things I had to stop and think.

How much money do I have to spend? (Not a lot)

What are the items I really wanted? (Panties, Stockings, Heals, Skirt, Blouse, Wig)

Then I looked at Pinterest for some Capsule Wardrobe ideas.

Now when I shop, I look to make sure that what I purchase fits with other items in my wardrobe.  I am on a limited budget for my purchases, so i make every purchase count. Good Quality fewer items.

My Jewelry is costume, from Walmart, but i have received nice comments from sales clerks.

I spend a lot of time watching people in the malls to see what I really like.  Then go to stores to see if I can recreate the looks I found inspiring.

Good Shopping to you.

Hugs

Paula

I guess it can be overwhelming but even more wonderful. Just enjoy it as it comes.

Not only overwhelming but frightening. I recommend the advice on the cover of, "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". "Don't Panic!"

Hi Nicole,

When I started buying clothes almost all were purchased from thrift stores and yard sales. That way not much money is invested and if it doesn’t fit you can donate it back to the Salvation Army. Over time I have found my size and what looks good on me. I still shop thrift stores like Goodwill and others and find amazing buys. Also if you wait for the end of season sales you can get new stuff dirt cheap for the next year both online and at retail stores. One tip for bargain hunting is that all stores have a certain day that they mark things down. Since most inventory is computer controlled, you can use most retailers app’s and scan items for price. I usually jewelry shop on Ebay and find beautiful vintage jewelry very cheap. Most come with clipon earrings and since I have not pierced my ears it works well for me. Happy shopping!!!  Stephanie

Overwhelming it certainly is. When the ball starts rolling so does the heart beat. Looking at all the fashions to just learning about yourself.   Vicious circle but one I do enjoy. 🌷

Nicole, I get overwhelmed still at the change to every season when the new fashions come out and the online stores seem to know how I am, as I am deluged with their online shopping guides.  My real mailbox starts getting fuller at those times too, and a lot of those are the same as my online addictions,  ooops, shopping.

It is as easy to seriously damage your debit/credit when you are fighting these feelings as it is for a man to do the same at a gun show when they 'accessorize'  for themselves.  Just make sure that your cards and cash are somewhere not easy to reach when shopping, and try to work out making a few pieces coordinate with others to multiply your mix and match wardrobe potential.

Always enjoy what 'The Pink Fog' can bring you, just try and take small doses of it until your tolerance is built up.

Get out! I've been doing my essential grocery shopping every eight days or so 100% enfemme with a very pretty mask I've sewn to co-ordinate with my outfit. The mask ironically has been a key to freedom.

I'm in Ottawa where there are "Superstores" an giant everything stores under the umbrella of "Loblaws". Of course I buy the essentials, but I've dawdled through the ladies' clothes, makeup sections and absorbing the best part..being addressed in the feminine.

El Covido can't leave the scene too soon, but while he's here I'm taking advantage of the anonymity of ...the mask.

It is possible to take a bit of a proactive approach. Periodically give a little time to appreciate how far you have come, what additional knowledge you have now that you didn’t have before and how you feel about how you have changed. Often we just sort of blitz through life and not think about the progress that we have made. However, when we do that it is a reminder that we accomplished some things that we didn’t think we could do. That also helps to energize us for the future...

Too many clothes, too few dollars and days to wear the clothes in!

I have so many outfits I haven't worn yet, and already they look like last year's fashion.

I never thought of myself as a diva - I always used to think a nice dress is a nice dress. 👗

Since I've been going out in them, I realise that I have an inner image to satisfy that changes with the weather, what I'm planning on doing and where I'm planning on going.

When I go out for one day, I take enough clothing for a couple of weeks, and change at least 4 times. I can never decide which shoes to leave behind either - that's my Achilles heels...😏

I don't really find it overwhelming any more - my bank balance dictates how much I can buy, so that's just frustrating, and I never have anything to wear...😳

It's a tough life, being a girl!

Love Laura

I would say you are feeling what many of us go through. As others have said there is so much to buy, and so much more we want to buy.

I used to think the ladies in my life were strange as they'd think about what they would wear to some upcoming event for a week, sometimes weeks beforehand. Now that describes me perfectly. I can't believe myself sometimes.  Now I'm worse than my wife.

Also, girls were always brought up differently, so all of this is new to most of us here, and we're having a crash course, as it were in being feminine. So, enjoy the ride, its' so much better than what we have as guys!
