I'm sure everyone here has 'googled' their own [real] name, I know I have and strangely, I don't appear in the listings at all and certainly not in the 'images' section. So, thinks I, I wonder what happens if Rebecca googles her name, well, at first, disappointingly, nothing at all. However, put in 'Rebecca Baxter Crossdresser Heaven' and there I am, first in the list of images of many others here; probably everybody here who's posted an avatar, if you wanted to go through the whole list.

I'm sure the fact that all who post their photographs here are aware that nothing is secret on the internet, but it is interesting to know that Google (and all the other search engines) get everywhere; there is no hiding place.

I must stress that you do have to put in your name along with 'crossdresser' after it for the results to include you, so people are not likely to stumble across pictures without them being quite specific.

Interesting, nevertheless.

Thought you'd like to know (if you didn't already).

Becca

@rebeccabaxter It's been said before, but worth repeating. If you put public photos on the site, they are searchable by google (and other search engines). Private photos are just that; they will not appear on the general internet. The forum areas are also publicly searchable, so you have to be careful with what you put in there. If I say somewhere I am from LittleSmallTown, SomeCountry, it can narrow things down.  Profile info is private to members only.

@alison-anderson @rebeccabaxter

Yes, I just searched my name here and added crossdresser but nothing came up and my pics are private.

A good heads-up though, Becca, thanks for this.

@rebeccabaxter Yep, I found that too 🙂  'Fiona Finlay crossdresser' gives my avatar as the first image result, then most of my public photos and several of other girls on here.  Interestingly, I get some definitely LGBTQ+ results by searching on my real name plus 'crossdresser', but none of them are me!

@rebeccabaxter I googled my name only and did not find anything on the regular but found my self in images .  Found three images of myself in the first grouping from CDH.

@rebeccabaxter I Googled my name and found out that I was on the Bachelor but left on week 1.  Did I have fun at least?

@rebeccabaxter I tried doing a basic search for my two public images that showed my face, but nothing got returned. I guess that they weren't, um, desirable or interesting enough, so I deleted them. I will do a reverse image search, some day, to see if any known copies exist.

@rebeccabaxter I have tried this myself, found several namesakes but I can be found just on my name. There are images of me elsewhere en-femme where I have modelled and allowed my image to be used but my name not used. I very much doubt I would be recognised other than by someone who knows me as Anna.

Thanks for the info, Becca. As for me, I don't care who knows since I am already out to almost everyone. BUT I can see those who are in the closet might be worried.

Yup, I just tried it & there I am, along with many other Sasha Bennetts. I would be interested to know if anyone recognised me from the photo though as I look completely different in real life. As no-one offsite other than Mrs B knows about Sasha I would be surprised but it's, as you say, interesting & kind of dangerously exciting to see myself pop up on the internet.

It is natural to Google your name and mine comes up from a while back. It's a possibility someone may connect but after many years so far so good...

Be careful ladies about how google, AI, and cookies can connect your male and female personas. Google remembers searches, so not a good idea to search for your fem and male names in the same search. AI keeps copies of generated photos. And browser cookies can easily cause searches and views of things in girl mode to link to your other internet uses.

Example....my real, guy Facebook and Instagram accounts keep showing me ads for heels, dresses, and all sorts of women's items. Not that I mind.

@lea-jhene I use a VPN and Brave browser, I also use Duck Duck Go as a search engine which stops trackers and clears my browsing history every time I close it. Most importantly of all, I'll not have Facebook anywhere near my electronics; people think Amazon and Google are snooping but they are nothing compared to Facebook.

Hi Rebecca, I googled my name, nothing came up, very glad actually. I am paranoid with someone finding out that part of my life.

Thank you

Hi Becca,

I've just checked. I'm clear on google searches of my real name. Interestingly, I used have a small presence. But I've been retired a while, so maybe google refreshes over time and, who knows, has algorithms to 'retire' some results. And I don't do social media - that makes a huge difference.

Still one small thing though. I have the dubious pleasure to share my first and last name with an US convict doing life without parole for first degree murder !

As regards cdh when I check by using my name on here, google has obviously not scraped my public photo yet. I'm sure it will in time.
