On my phone, I have a pic of Cerys as the lock screen. (Apprentice drag queen in public photos).
I volunteer as a driver for a local food bank charity. on Monday, I get a phone call asking if I was free as a driver had phoned in sick. I agreed to go in and drive for the day.
I arrived at the depot and the van was loaded and chilled down ready. I was sat in the van doing the checks and other paperwork. The phone was on its holder on the windscreen and paired to the stereo/ hands free kit.
I finished the van checks and returned the paperwork to the office when I was told that another volunteer was going to help me as it was a busy run with lots of drops, and a lot of carrying.
Me and my "mate" got in the van and we headed out.... The office forgot to give us some paperwork, so they phoned me to let me know..... I answered the call, hands free, and ended the call..... The phone went back into its lock screen..... There I was. Head to toe. Apprentice drag queen!
Who's that? Is that you? asked my mate.... "Yes," I replied. "Gorgeous, aren't I?"
We talked briefly about it's something I do to de-stress, and got the usual "Whatever works for you" reply.
One of the office staff knows about Cerys. We have been friends for twenty years or more, and he's a good pair of ears, and trustworthy. I'm sure by now that most of the others know. My old friend hasn't said anything yet. I have asked him to keep an ear out and let me know if people are talking about it. I've heard nothing yet.
Cerys.
That made me smile, Cerys. You seem to have taken it in your stride. Good response 😉

I don't flaunt it. But I don't deny it. While I don't overtly dress in public, if I'm caught - yes. Thats me.
Great story
I'm kind of jealous, really. I want to tell people, but it's not the time yet.
I'm glad it went well for you and hope it continues.
xoxo,
Catherine

I had the same thing happen to me over the weekend.I was dressed as Michelle last Sunday out and about doing errands .When I pulled into my driveway ,one of my elderly neighbors was walking her dog and we met face to face. She said "Marty,is that you"?I answered "Its me ,just in a different wrapper called Michelle".Her reply was"Looking good,You do what you got to do".All in all,a great day of acceptance and a lot of fun.
Good answer Cerys and good reaction from your mate too. Onward and upwards...
