Been an underdresser for 2 whole weeks now and I’m loving it but I’m not loving all those ordering mistakes I’m making. I’m sure I’ll nail down all my sizes eventually but until then I’ll keep ordering and reordering. Finally found a great pair of shoes that actually fit! Woohoo!

Love and Kisses,

Eona 😊

Hi Eona.
I had the same problem, and posted here for help, this is a link to that post
https://www.crossdresserheaven.com/forums/topic/sizing-for-dressesand-chemises/
I hope it works, the ladies had some great responses.
As for shoes, I wear a size 9 mens, and mostly 10 ladies fit me well, some I could even go a 9.
best thing is try try again, love Amazon because most things are free shipping, and easy returns, but I do have a prime membership.
Hugs, Regi💕💕

If at 1st you don't succeed...., you'll get there lol

Shoes is where my wardrobe is sadly lacking, those 13wides still elude me.

Congrats on scoring the shoes!! I have heard that 1 and a half to 2 sizes larger is a good guide for shoes. I like how Amazon usually has a chart that surveys whether they run large, small or true to size. For other clothes get a tape measure and get your measurements for a good place to start. Hugs!

It doesn't help that every clothing line views sizes as something they patented. Standardized sizes would help.

Welcome! Size is a b!+<# to get right, and to a large degree that's because each make users a different standard for size, it feels like. Good job with shoes, those are better with standardization, but still vary some. I can wear some 10s, but mostly 11s, sometimes 12s.

Eona...

Once you do find all your sizes...every parcel that arrives contains something that fits!!!...oh the relief.....

and in the meantime...if you find companies that are happy to take items back, you can shop like every day is your birthday, because its....

Many happy returns!!!!

Smiles, grace xx

Eona, congrats on finding shoes that fit that quickly. I still struggle with shoes. I first tried the recommended two sizes up, but they were way too big. So, then I ordered one size up, and they are surprisingly still a bit loose, but I think they will be wearable. They were both Torrid shoes, as they have larger sizes available, I'm sure I will have a different experience with different brands.

As far as clothes, I most of mine are from Goodwill, so I'm not out that much if they don't fit.

Olivia,

I have a pair of Torrid, black, low heels in 13 wide that you could have (they were too big for me, and I couldn't return them).

It would be nice if you could go to a shoe store for a proper fitting but as the girls say sizes can change with styles and makers. I learned early on to use one and half size bigger than your male size. For me I am a nine and a half and have found the womens size 11 fits perfectly. I have only had to return two pairs for a half size larger or smaller in last few years.

Learning both size and what looks good is a learning experience but doesn’t have to cost a lot. A good rule of thumb for shoes, dresses and tops is that the female size will be two sizes larger than your male size. Pants are pretty iffy for me still but I have found brands that consistently fit and are generally the stretchy skinny jeans type. When I first started dressing everything came from thrift stores and yard sales. If it didn’t fit then I would just donate it back to the charity thrift store. After learning my sizes in both clothes and foot wear, I am more confident about ordering online. However, I still love a bargain and almost exclusively buy from clearance racks and end of season sales both online and in stores but still regularly purchase items at yard sales and thrift stores. When ordering online ALWAYS check the sizing chart as many of the items shipped from China are incredibly small. Stephanie

I’ve ordered a few things now that have been very wrong.  Some stockings, a skirt amongst the biggest failures.

I’ve ended up just throwing them out as although online stores do have a returns process, not being able to drive means I can’t get to the drop off locations and can’t ask wife to take them as they’d be questions.

Hence, I’ve swallowed the cost and chalked it up to (bad) experience and lessons learnt.

I’m now very picky where I order from and quadruple check the sizings first.

In fairness, I’m not a big one for returning drab clothing either.  It’s just next level with my femme clothes.

Love Rachel

I can find shoes that fit. The proof is in my closet.

Sleeves though. This big boned gal can’t get her non-dainty arms in the sleeves.  So many pretty blouses that couldn’t make the cut. >sigh<

Forearmed is forlorned,

Clara
