Well girls another question! I could never pass out in public plus dont want to make a fool of myself. Just wondering about getting you girls opinions about going out in my male clothes, but maybe wearing a nice pair of heels. Wearing high heels is one of my favorite things. I have a pair of cowboy boots with a 2.5 inch heel. I have wore that out but it's not the same.
Thanks Sara
Why not Sara after all it's supposed to be a more accepting sociaty today what's good for the gander is good for the goose,
Girls wear mens clothes so why can't we wear womens clothes,
Hugs Rozalyne x
Oh Sara darling, men have got away with high Cuban heels for ever. Now if you want to up the style stakes, I say go for it.
Eddie Izzard has been runing with his signature man/heels look for a long time (just google eddie izzard shoes) It's only relatively recently that she's begun dressing more femme.

Hi Sara,
I think that very very few girls actually "pass", including the ones that think they pass but don't. So I say wear your heels with whatever you like and enjoy yourself.

Hi Sara,
Go for it! Many of us don’t really pass. I’ve seen guys wearing skirts.
Enjoy your heels! And stay safe.
Alice
I say go for there’s girls that don’t pass and there Born females that don’t and they think their looking good. It doesn’t matter what people think it’s how you feel on the inside and that’s what makes a person happy
Hi Sara,
Have not read others responses so sorry if I'm redundant! I would say go for it! I would love to muster up the courage to do this! I don't think I could pass (in my current state), but here is what I do, and for you other gurls who have heard this before, I apologize but this is another good example of repetition for the benefit of a new gurl friend!
More than 2 years ago I started exclusively wearing womans jeans. Under them I do wear panties, tights and sometimes a camisole and lately more often, a bra. (I'm small on top so it's easy to hide!). I will wear a regular guy shirt with it all.
The jeans are usually not noticeable to most, unless they are capri length and I do wear those out all the time. For shoes, I have 2 pair of woman loafers that are somewhat generic looking, but if you looked close enough you may realize they are gurl shoes. You may definitely notice the tights or hose, but I don't care about that anymore.
I've had very few stares, have come across people I know (who did not seem to notice anything) but it is a great way to go out "dressed". I love it, makes me feel great! (My wife thinks otherwise).
Give it a try!
I LOVE wearing heels!...Just remember women's heels make a distinctive sound...
Hugs, MaryAnn
Be prepared for a lot of attention in that case, not always 'good' either. It's a very bold decision.
I do wish you well. x
I’m sure some of you youngsters may have missed this but I’m sure Bettylou Cox, @Bunnymom will back me up. Back in the day, “the day” being the 70s, fashion turned, shall we say, interesting. Heels for men were actually a thing. 2 1/2” platforms were darn near commonplace. And men’s fashion in general took a decidedly feminine turn.
Of course it looks terribly outdated but I can’t help but think how those trends shaped what we wear today. There may not be a direct line of descent from those days to our ability to dress how we please now, but I’ve no doubt it is influential.
(Hmmmmm. Thought I could post a photo here. Guess not. You’ll have to Google it : )
So go ahead and flash those heels Sara. If it makes you more comfortable, you can say you’ve gone Retro.
Best,
Clara
Yes, I do remember platform heels and leisure suits from that era. There was even a brief effort to promote "manbags" (purses) to go with suits without pockets. It didn't catch on.
Too bad.
I have worn my ankle boots, 1 1/2" heels with my guy clothes, as well as my ballet flats. No big deal.
Well. Here's a story for you. The last show my wife and I went to was the touring Chicago when it got to Virginia Beach in I guess 2019 or very early 2020. We both noticed a fellow there in a very sharp suit, tie, well groomed. But what stood out was the white strappy high heeled sandals he was wearing with his dark, I think black, suit. He walked quite well in them, but a little fast. We both noticed him, I imagine many did.
It stayed in my head until about mid summer when I mentioned it to my wife. She remembered him. That's when I came out with something like "I wish I was that bold" or something, and we started talking about cross dressing. I hadn't worn anything girly since I was a child, probably ten or twelve, but as we all know it never goes away. That's when I started this new life.
I imagine he had any number of people look at him and make fun in their head, but I saw no one say or so anything that night. I've been thinking about maybe wearing heels with a suit myself.
If you do, let us all know how it goes.

Sara,
As long as you feel safe and comfortable doing so, I'd say go for it. And if anyone calls you out, be confident, "Yeah, I'm wearing heels, so? They're no higher than my cowboy boots anyway, but way more fun!"
Remember, no one can make you feel bad/shame/guilt, unless you let them. Be happy with who you are, and however you like to express yourself is no one else's concern.
Footwear is actually my biggest clothing problem, I have big feet. But, I have been looking online for an ankle bootie or boot with maybe a 2 1/2" heel, to do the exact same thing. But, other than work, I never go out in all men's clothes. It's usually women's jeans, turtleneck tops, etc.; but the look is subtle enough that most people probably aren't 100% sure that I'm wearing women's clothes. 😉 So, I want to add some plain, black leather heeled boots to the look next.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes if you venture out in your heels.
