Hi girls,

firstly it’s great to be back on CDH. Life has been wayy too hectic recently and I haven’t been on here for a year or so.

ok so the main reason for my post is, I am a 24/7 pantie wearer. But it seems everytime the warmer weather hits, I tend to get thrush down below. It itches and gets sore. I put on cream and eventually it goes. It gets me down and upset, because usually I have to revert back to wearing male underwear for a bit just to get so air circulating down there.

I was just wondering if this happens to anyone else? Am I wearing the wrong size panties or the wrong style/fabric? Any help on this matter would be amazing :).

I hope you all have a wonderful day, and again it’s great to be back on this site ❤️

Samantha xx

@samantha-c

A pharmacist can help with thrush

You can buy antifungal medicine from pharmacies if you've had thrush diagnosed in the past and you know the symptoms.

A pharmacist can recommend the best treatment for you. Ask if they have a private area to talk if you're embarrassed.

You should not use antifungal medicine more than twice in 6 months without speaking to a pharmacist or doctor. nhs.uk

@leslienix From the same page:

Do
• use water and an emollient (like E45 cream) instead of soap to wash the affected area

• dry properly after washing

• wear cotton underwear

• avoid sex until thrush has cleared up if sex is uncomfortable

Don’t
• do not use soaps or shower gels

• do not use douches or deodorants on your vagina or penis

• do not wear tight underwear or tights

@samantha-c think cotton. I know, but. Ketoderm might fix your issue. Tank to your Dr.

My best guess is it's the fabric. Try cotton, not synthetics, perhaps even the same material as your male undies. As they seem to work for you.

Samantha -

I deal with something similar. I don't wear panties 24/7 (would love to but my wife wouldn't be happy if I did) but do get fungal rashes on occasion. They mostly occur due to moisture so drying yourself as completely as possible after a shower, applying a powder (I use Gold Bond) and wearing cotton panties should help. Hope that helps. You could also see a dermatologist if it is an ongoing issue.

XOXO

@cdsue on the (rare) occasions I have this issue I also find Gold Bond powder works effectively.

I love the look and feel of nylon panties. I also wear panties everyday but this summer in the extreme heat here in the Mid-Atlantic area I’ve switched to cotton panties. I work outside in the summer and with the heat things can get pretty soaked down there. The cotton panties absorb the sweat. Some super hot days I would put on a fresh pair at lunch time. I’ve had no problem with any kind of rash.
An extra bonus is that I discovered how cute cotton panties look and how girly I feel wearing them. Give them a try!

Hi all, thank you so much for the advice. Seems to be clearing up now with the cream. I am definitely going to make the switch to cotton panties. Especially during the warmer months.

keep being awesome 🙂
