I have had yet more exposure as Becca. Over the last few weeks, our new neighbours have been working on their house before moving in and there have been several occasions when I have met one of the mothers and the lady of the house while dressed and have had conversations with them, but I had yet to meet the man of the house; this occurred today.
I had been in my home trying out a new look with shorter skirts and using my hip pads more (looking good so far, will get pictures up hopefully this week) and decided that since it was going to be cold tonight, we'd have some wood on the fire instead of anthracite, as it kicks out a lot more heat (but burns up so much faster). My wood is in my garden, some distance away and I went out dressed and ran straight into my male next-door-neighbour.
Obviously, he would have been aware that they had moved in next to a cross-dresser since his mother and his wife/girlfriend (not sure which yet) had already seen me but even so, I thought he would be a little surprised to see me in person. It just goes to show how what you see in your mind, is not necessarily what transpires. He talked to me about the fact that he cooks electric on an induction hob (so do we) and that he was worried that a gas fire might cost a lot to run and wondered how warm the fire in our house would warm his up (this does happen because our fire is on 24/7 right through the winter and the walls warm up).
He was unfazed (at least as far as I could see) by my appearance and just talked as a new neighbour might talk to anyone.
They both love our dog—who is a tart for fuss—so she is always a subject for chat if there is any awkwardness, but I have yet to discern any problems at all. This bodes well for the summer as there is no dull weather or darkness to hide behind, it's all summer tops and flouncy skirts relatively soon.
Again, I have to stress that I shan't be wandering the village en femme, probably ever, because of the pitchfork brigade but my home [and garden] is my castle and I'll do what I want in it. What people know, or think they know, and what they see, do not have to be the same thing.
Onward and upward.
Becca

Preach, girl! 'Fear is the mind killer...'
Glad (but not surprised) it was uneventful 😉
Ooh Matron, exposing yourself again Becca!
At least it went well and perhaps he was forewarned but who knows at least you know your neighbours are okay.
It is always good to hear normal stories about normal people. How they dress is insigificant.
Always good to hear that neighbors are okay with it. Makes a big difference when they are.

How wonderful for you. It is so nice to hear that things went smoothly when meeting your new neighbor.
XOXO
