Being a secret CD I find it takes a lot of time to plan my next day. Because of my job I have to check the work schedule, see what physical duties have to be accomplished, plan my clothing appropriately, pack spare items, and items of whatever I missing on this list. Like I said prior I underdress as much as possible so I find its a lot of planning and work to get this accomplished. I don't mind at all because I prefer to dress. I know some say why don't I just come out and be open about it, I wish I can, I'm not in that place right now, so this is what I do. Am I making too much of this or do you go through something similar? Thank you for your input.
Hello Katy,
I don't have to plan my day like you but it seems to me that you are doing the best you can do at this time.
Hugs
Jessica
Hi Katy,
You're not the only one to have this thought. I often consider why I don't just open up more. And then I don't. But at least I can share my thoughts here on cdh and that's no small step for me.
Is there a right or wrong answer that fits all? We're all individuals, so I doubt it, but most important in my view is to try not to beat yourself up about it.

Katey I’m right there with you girl. My job does enable me to dress, secretly, I’ll explain... every morning I leave the house and head to my first location ( I work at radio cell towers and monitor the equipment at the base of the towers). I keep a suitcase in the work vehicle, packed with my stockings, garter belts, corsets, panties, flare dress, wigs, etc... at the first site in the morning I get dressed... and then put on my regular guy clothes over top. So I’m secretly dressed each day, even if I have to go by the office or work with other techs.. Effie is right there with me, underneath. Then at the last site for the day I undress and go home to the family. I hate having to hide it but I do want Effie out here more publicly at some point.
My line of work during the week days since work those days always wearing bra and panties sometimes will wear nylons. Now weekend different story Friday after work clean up more and put on everything have from head to toe. Even sleep in a teddy or cami 7 days a week at night.
Hi Donna, that’s so wonderful. Someday I will get there. BIG HUG
Hi Effie, so much work! But so worth it. Thanks for sharing. HUGS
Hi Marti, CDH is wonderful place. I love being here and be able to speak my mind. HUGS
Since I only wear panties and sometimes leggings or pantyhose or tights, I underdress 24/7/365. I have worn panties to the doctor 4 four times and even to a CT scan. I haven't worn ugly guy underwear for almost 5 years. Yuk!
Alana
Hi Jessica, I’m trying my best thank you!
HUGS
HI Alana, I know I don't like wearing male underwear but at times I'm forced to do so. Going to the Doctors office maybe depends what the visit is for. CT Scan dressed, wow, you are so much braver than me. Thanks for sharing.

Big Hugs back knowing you will.
Hi Katey, I hate to rub it in, but being retired is so WONDERFUL!!!!!! And my wife knows about me being a CD, double bonus!!!! No hiding in secret, I dress pretty much most of the time (though my wife doesn't want our grown up children to know) And a third bonus of being retired is NO more haircuts. My hair has grown well past my bra strap so no need for wigs. I'm mistaken for female often.
I do have great empathy for all of my CDH sisters who are still working but your time will come. Don't rush retirement, enjoy your youth, but you definitely will have something to look forward to once you leave the workplace. Stay healthy, stay safe, Hugs, Krista.
Yep. I need to plan ahead. I am in an office most of the time and underdress 100% of the time but occasionally need to be on a construction site. Even though I do not engage in any manual labor on site I underdress "drab" just to be sure i am never outed if i were to climb a ladder, tear my pants or shirt etc.
Funny story though. One time I went to my office Christmas holiday party and thought it would be great to wear bright red bikini panties under my suit to celebrate the festive season. Upon arriving at the venue I was asked by the office manager if I could help her carry a heavy box of gifts from her car to inside. Sure! I did and when I got inside was instructed to place it on the floor by a large group of people. What is the saying..."lift heavy objects with your legs and not your back"? I proceeded to squat down with my knees to lay the heavy box on the ground and....RIP! I split the seam all the way up the back of my suit pants! I abruptly stood up and turned away from the group. They heard it and were laughing and poking fun. I then realized I had on my suit coat that mostly covered my backside when standing. So I finished the small talk and then backed away to find the event planner in the venue. I asked her if she had needle and thread but she did not. Soooo I then quick thinking I asked her if she had a stapler. She did. I took the stapler into the bathroom/locker room and went into a stall and took the pants off. I proceeded to staple the torn seam to make it through the rest of the evening. This was a very fancy country club and they had a very extravagant bathroom with wall to wall marble and dark wood lockers. With every staple it emitted a loud "CHA-KUNK" echo that bounced off the marble walls. Sheesh! I had to intermittently wait till the bathroom was empty to do each subsequent staple. It took me about 30 minutes to fix a 10 inch tear. My heart was racing the whole time. I finished up went back to the party and laughed at the jokes thrown at me. I proceeded to stand the rest of the evening as the staples hurt when sitting down and i did not want to risk tearing it again. That was a long night.
OMG Jamie, what a fantastic funny story. Great way to adapt and overcome the situation. That was quick thinking. I would have been extremely embarrassed and left the area. Thank you for your reply and that wonderful story. ❤️
