I was thinking this morning why it is that not very many members utilize their private photo section. I know it’s a little hard to find, but I think it has a lot of advantages.
First, if you are timid about posting photos in the public section, I’ve been told that the only viewers of private photos here are registered members. So, if you are like me, and your are wondering if you might be outed by a relative or friend seeing your private photo, it’s highly unlikely. They would have to be a member here and if they are, they are probably a crossdresser like us and you’ve just found out something about a friend or relative that you can share.
Second, I don’t know if you are like me, but I like to share photos of myself. I find it too much to show all of my photos in public photos, so I find it fun to take the photos of a particular outfit that I’ve posted in the public area and show the outfit in different poses on my private photo galleries.
lastly, the private photos aren’t shared from this site to the rest of the internet and searchable as are public photos. I’m not saying that they can’t be copied and shared by someone, but the likelihood isn’t that great.
So, come on, ladies, show the rest of your pretty photos in your private photo section, and take the time to look at others too. I know I’ve got an extensive group of photos that probably not many girls have seen.
Hi, Jennifer, thanks for posting this. I only use the private gallery. I think I'm right in saying though, only paid membership includes private galleries.
Even so, I've noticed lots of the girls put pics in the public gallery, although they have paid membership. I suppose many don't have the fear of their pics being seen by family or work colleagues.
I've never shared pics of me anywhere, partly because I've never taken any selfies before joining here and partly because I've thought, who'd want to see them! Certainly the case with my first pics here 🙄. I'm glad I have taken them from early though, because even I can see the beginnings of some improvement in my look.

@alexina thanks for the reply Allie, I know what you mean about looking back at your first attempts and thinking how far you’ve come along in your journey. I’ve got a few photos from those days that I’ve never showed anyone, and I’ll keep it that way.

I"m "public all the way". I'm confident the security measures I have in place and the way most of my public photos have been taken, eg many of them have been a result of professional makeovers and the ones that are not, I've done reasonably well myself would prevent anyone that knows me from realising that its "male me" under all that "camouflage" There are also very few close up photos of me on this site
I think one of the biggest "clues" can be if any of us use our "real" surname and christian name close to our male name. Mine are miles apart from reality.
I do have one unique physical "giveaway", but then 1000,s of others have the same.

PS I'm always had a "grouch" about how swimsuits are OK on here, but "tasteful lingerie shots" with a lot more "coverage" are not. Perhaps that's where I need to go "private"??
@ryanpaul thanks for your response, I guess racy photos are a subject that needs to go to the administrators here, but personally, I prefer to keep things like they are.
Jennifer, I find the private photos a bit clunky, but I popped a couple there which were rejected in public photos as they were deemed a bit risqué xx.

At the moment, I don't have a private gallery but even if I did, I don't suppose I'd use it. If non-crossdressers who I know, see my pictures and they recognise me, then that's just tough titty, I'll be outed. I'm not hugely bothered by this threat, indeed, it would save me a lot of trouble and people would just have to get over it. I know one can post more risqué pictures in the private gallery but since I don't really dress like that, it doesn't really have a point for me. I like the way I look and don't mind non-paying members seeing and commenting on my photographs.
Of course, this doesn't apply to everybody and getting their images out in the public domain could be devastating for them, so I do see the advantage of a private gallery.
Of course some of these non-private photographs can get in the public domain. If I Google 'Rebecca Baxter crossdresserheaven', the first picture on the 'images' section is of me. Hey, I'm famous (in my own head).

I’ve wondered the same thing, private photos vs public. I think it’s safe to safe to say, your private gallery is probably safer than your public gallery postings which is why I only post my pictures to my private galleries. Taking selfies is one of my favorite activities while dressed but I don’t want them showing up in internet searches. But I do enjoy sharing them with all the wonderful girls here on CDH.
@robyn1408 you certainly do have some pretty photos too that you are sharing on your private photos. I hope that other girls take a look.

I would post much more photos if I knew only site members could see them. The fact my profile is visible on the World Wide Web still kind of freaks me out a bit as a closet dresser but I feel I haven’t revealed enough personal photos or shown my face so it’s highly unlikely I would be caught by anyone I know 🤔. Just interacting with all you gals and getting my thoughts out there feels like the first step out of the closet and has helped my mental health.
