As I've mentioned offhand a time or two, I am in the process of losing weight. It's been a struggle for over a month to see any real progress at the gym, but I've kept at it.

It all came together this week! I normally struggled to go 15 minutes on the treadmill, really having to force myself to do the last 5 minutes. My weekly weigh-in was a disappointment, too.

But yesterday, I found myself easily surpassing the 15 minute mark, going on to do the full 30 minutes my doctor gave me as an end goal! That's on top of the full body workout my trainer showed me. And, I lost a touch more than my goal for the week on the scale this morning, too!

We celebrated by going back to a very nice park near my home this morning, that has a long nature path. I struggled to walk even half of the route before. I walked the whole route, and wasn't even out of breath this time. The gains are real!

Sorry if this is boring to you all, or too off topic, but just so happy and excited!

Got a ways to go yet, but it's finally going the right direction now!

Hi Dianne it's not boring to me, I've got to go on a diet and exercise regime too, I've got a big spare tyre round my stomach that i want to lose, sometimes it's hard to get started,

I just need the motivation to get started,

I've been motivated for my health, for quite a while now. But never seemed to really eat like I should, etc. I have lost a lot of weight, compared to where I once was, but it has held steady for a number of years now, as I hadn't found enough motivation to really work at it.

But to be perfectly honest, the real "kick in the butt" for me was putting on a cute blouse for the first time recently, and realizing I looked like I should be in maternity wear! lol

My male side might not be so motivated, but Dianne certainly is!

Dianne I am so happy for you and proud of you. I have worked very hard  for several years at loosing weight and have a total of 50+ pounds off. The VERY IMPORTANT thing to remember at the front end is muscle weighs more than fat and initially you may not see the weight loss but you will see a loss in inches. The actual weight will start coming off after you “get in shape”. Keep going girl and the rewards await you and your efforts. If you ever need a “motivation” partner feel free to pm me anytime.

Well done. Look at the other positives as the clothes become too big you will have to buy more!

Hi Dianne,

Congratulations on reaching your goal.  As others have posted the challenge is staying with your exercise program.
