Have you ever purged, if so, how many times?
So far only once. It was so easy at the time. Thought it was the right thing. Now I know it wasn't and it's much harder to get anything again.
Not a happy camper.

3 or 4 times. Last one was 22 years ago so I think I’m over them now. That last one was traumatic though.

I've done a purge a couple of times long ago. They were typically just after getting serious with a girlfriend. (I always kept a couple of pairs of panties stashed though!). I didn't purge my stuff for fear of getting caught with it, I just figured I wouldn't need it anymore. Wrong! I didn't have much back then, just panties and some nylons and a couple of slips.
Nowdays a purge is out of the question. There are a few items I don't wear that will get donated, but that's it.
I can't wait to get home in a few weeks and scamper about in all that yummy girly gear! I do bring a few things with me when I'm away, mostly panties to last the time away.
Hugs and panties, Christine.
Very sad to say I've had to do a full purge 3 - 4 times, all out of fear of getting caught.
Do I regret doing so ? Yup. All the items I've purged can no longer be replaced, except if I am willing to pay major $$$ to do so.
I've purged the 80 - 90s style aerobic wear (spandex leotard/leggings), shapewear, one piece swimsuits, and a long style night gown. I've seen some of those items on etsy/ebay, but sizing and then pricing become a concern. I'm not willing to pay what they are asking as it is too steep.
Recently, I've done a clean up purge. This is not getting rid of everything, but getting rid of stuff that no longer fit or no longer wear. That makes room for stuff I will wear, so this type of purge is ok by me as it is more of a cleanup.
Everyone has...forced by circumstances...or for MENTAL REASONS!!
Lamentation for what was lost and will eventually be replaced is significant.
Good luck to the young..
..learn from us who have regrets of our actions.

In the 20+ years that I have been dressing, no I haven't purged but have got rid of clothes & shoes that either didn't fit, was otherwise inappropriate or just wore out.
Sadly, I have purged a few times and as Wendy said before it was out of fear of being caught. I had been pushing the envelope too far and almost got busted so the thought process was “if I have no clothes, then no one can discover my secret”.
The only thing I regret purging is a pair of knee high boots that I adored, soft leather with 4 inch heels. I’ve never been able to replace them.

I purged a couple times and hate myself for both!!!
At one point before really getting into makeup and wigs I would have very little in terms of clothes and pretty much purge each summer and get new stuff in the fall. Once I started getting into full Nancy I've purged at least one but will not do it again.
Currently I am purging . . . all my guy stuff (yay!).
But in the past I have purged too many times. Each purge came with the vow that,"this time for sure!" But I always came back because
Joanne is who I am.
I grew up in an age when cross dressing and wanting to be a girl was sick and shameful so I absorbed and assumed I was sick and wearing girls clothes an abomination even though it felt right for me. But we all know society knows best (!) so out they went! I was a good boy - but never for long 🙂
Thanks for asking.
And thank all you girls for being here and understanding.
I have lost count how many times that I have purged. The last was almost 20 years ago. After being out as a teenager, I would buy something periodically, may be wear once, get scared, and throw it away. This went on for almost a decade until I stopped after meeting my wife. Flash forward, a decade, and I made the decision to explore the feelings that I had been denying for more than 20 years. Today, half my wardrobe is feminine, and I have no plans to purge. Though, I have reached a point that I need to cull my wardrobe, both masculine and femine.

I’ve never purged, but I have become quite adept at hiding my women’s clothing in case company is coming over. I’ve resolved that I’m never going to purge as I’ll likely need a lot of these clothes in the future.
My last purge was 1989. Oh my, how I regret it, to this day. The high cut swimsuits, both one and two piece, the empire waisted dresses…sigh…how I still miss them. What I miss most is my collection of Maidenform Sweet Nothings, Delectables and Chantilly. Such great panties, bras, camisoles, half slips and tap pants, all coordinated. Now 30+ years later, the bras wouldn’t fit and the panties and tap pants would be very snug, if I still had them, I could take a nice stroll down memory lane.
My advice to you younger gurls, find a way to keep the things that 30 years later will reconnect your younger self. Now, let’s go buy some new granny panties. Purge free since 1989.

Over the years I've purged too many times to count out of guilt, fear of being caught, and once to prevent suicide. My last purge was over 6 yrs ago and I've sworn to never purge again. I sometimes think of those beautiful things I tossed that I can never replace... sigh.
Advice to young girls.... don't purge but put your things away until you need them again and believe me you WILL want them again at some point.
