Well today was an exciting and anxious day. Anxious in a good way however!
I was so obviously wearing gurl jeans, shoes and tights. My jeans were quite short, above the ankle and have the little zippers at the bottoms, so my black tights really showed with my low profile loafers.
It was fun! SO looked but did not say anything. I'm baffled by that. We went out for breakfast, had a few looks but it felt good!
We were out and about yesterday and I noticed a store we were at was having a $1 dollar panty sale! Today while we were at one of our favorite thrift stores I noticed a mauve colored (not quite mauve) pair of jeans. A quick look and I was able to see they were my size. But since SO was with me I could not get them.
After we returned and were home for a bit, I was able to get out on my own. Off to the dollar panty store sale! The two displays full of panties were on an aisle. I just stood there going through the piles looking for my size in colors and shapes I wanted, as people were walking by. Unfortunately the medium sizes had been picked through really well. I was able to find 4 pair however! Great haul for 4 bucks! I'll go back to this place as the non-sale price is not bad either!
Quick stop at the thrift store and I was able to try on the jeans I had seen earlier. Perfect fit, skinny and wrapped around my ankles nicely! (I love standing in the dressing room in just my cammie and tights!) Feels kind of naughty!
Quick trip home to do the laundry, including my new buys, and I'm set!
I had mentioned to my SO I wanted to start wearing more colors. She thought that was a good idea! What she doesn't realize however is that means my mauve jeans and a beautiful "dusty lavender" pair I recently bought at a large department store. Red is on tap as well.
Can't wait! I'm really enjoying this time, as stressful as it can be at times. Now I just have to do something about work, a new job, where I can wear my wonderful clothes and bring the "hybrid mode" of dressing into the norm.
My closet runneth over, and I'm stepping out a bit further each day!
