So was wondering to all you girls. Do you shave your legs or use a product like Naire?
ive only shaved my legs and love how they feel against any fabric.
is it the same sensation with using a product like Naire?
im hairy and it takes a long time to shave my body. I’m thinking it would be faster using a product because I always don’t have a ton of time.
a girl must do what a girl needs to do. Lol.
I can only speak from personal experience, but shaving is best for me. I’m not especially hairy, thankfully, so regular shaving works for me.
I have used depilatory creams in the past. If starting from scratch and needing to de-hair everything, cream is best. But keeping on top of things, shaving a couple of times a week works fine for me.
But different people have different requirements, so do what’s best for you.
Creams can be a problem for certain skins and are designed for softer hair as a rule so may have limited success for strong hair.
I shave and also use a mutihead razor to do a maintenance shave.
I tried an epliator which did not work for me and hurt like hell in certain areas.
A hack I found to check for errant hairs is to have a bright spot lamp in the dark and using a 'moon' effect you will be amazed at what you have missed and you can do hands, arms and other areas too. Oh and moisturise.
I get my legs, stomach, chest, back, and arms waxed. I will often shave what would go under boxer briefs which I need to wear while waxing. But If I'm going to a pool or beach and will be more exposted, or if the hair is particularly thick down there, then I'll use Nair to get rid of it, touching up with a razor.
I used to shave, I have moved on to epilating (silk epil 9) it buys me about 3 weeks between touch ups and the hair comes in thinner and sparser.
Still shaving but will probably make the change to an epilator once I run out of blades. I think all the recent discussion here has me wanting to try it. I've had some severe chemical burns trying Nair and the smell of the product....yuck. Never again.
I see a lot of advertisements on Instagram about those hand held IPL hair removal devices, specifically Nood's Flasher 2.0. Wonder if anyone here has tried them.
Removing body hair is one of the more common topics on CDN. I, for instance, have written extensively about my experiences using IPL wands. You can search for those keys words.
I recommend using IPL whenever you have time. Use it very frequently, to start killing hair roots.
Use an epilator or waxing for Friday night dates when you need to be hairless quickly. Yanking hair out of the follicles compliments using IPL.
Depending on your hair, you will be amazed in 1-2 years. Probably not completely hairless, but well on your way. I used to be very Harriette. Not so much any more.
Shave
Shave always. Never used nair I try to avoid chemicals on my skin
The first time, I use a hair remover product. After that, I tried an epilator, didn't like it and now keep on top of it with regular shaving. Always follow a shave with exfoliate and moisturiser which feels extra fabulous if I wear sheer tights or stockings
.I've tried Nair and didn't care for it. It smelled to start with, it burns (to be expected seeing how chemicals are burning off the hair) and never took off all the hair.
I shave every couple days -pits, chest, groin and legs. It takes a few extra minutes in the shower but is part of the routine and feels so girly. When I'm out of the shower I moisturize - Oil of Olay on my face and neck and Lubriderm for the rest. I love the feel of my silky smooth skin and wearing nylons feels so much better.

The last time I shaved myself starting from scratch I nearly sliced myself to ribbons. Well, not that bad, but I did have a lot of cuts.
I've used Nair twice since then. I don't mind the smell but it's easy to overdo it and burn your skin in the more sensitive areas. I also gave myself a rash on my chest from it. I've done a little touch-up with razor in spots from time to time. N.B. for our purposes, ladies' razors don't work as well as men's. I'm not super hairy but it does take some work to get it all, and it seems I use up the ladies' blades much more quickly.
Moisturizing afterwards does seem to help but it can take a few days to undo any damage from the process, so I recommend doing it several days before getting dressed up if you're planning to go out.
It's definitely worth all the fuss and aggravation though. It does feel wonderful to be wearing feminine undergarments over smooth skin, and especially wearing hose over smooth legs. It's just not the same if you're hairy, even if you're only dressing in private.

I have used creams and find they do work, but are as much or more work as shaving with only marginally better results and only lasts a day or two longer. I just didn't putting such nasty chemicals on my skin. As for waxing, I get my legs and brows done every four weeks and sjur wear my normal VS panties. I nearly always use them same tech, but have been to a few others and they do not care.
I agree with Katty. I have only been going smooth for a few month and started with shaving but it was a lot a constant work and my legs never stayed smooth very long. I switched to epilating (silk epil 9) and it buys me about 3 weeks between touch ups and the hair comes in thinner and sparser as Katty said. The best part is that my legs feel so wonderfully smooth with no razer stubble. It is unpleasant the first couple of times but it has gotten easier and faster over time.
I'm a wet-shaver, I've never tried hair removal creams and am unlikely to with skin as old as mine. I did think about an epilator once but the thought of ripping all those hairs out of, well, everywhere, is not reassuring.
The Braun epil series seem to range from quite reasonably-priced to eye-wateringly expensive and since they all do the same thing, I am baffled as to why the big price-range. Do the more expensive ones hurt less? Perhaps they hurt more, making you think it's doing a better job 😊 .
I'll stick to wet shaving every now and again with a quick once-over with my electric shaver as necessary.
BTW, the Philips 5000 electric razor I use was recommended by, I think, Ellie, and it does an excellent job; almost as good as a wet razor.
