I know that this question has probably been asked a million times in forums, but I am going to ask it again.
When I shave after I shave I feel like peach fuzz. Now i am using good razors, (Gillete fusion) instead of that smooth feeling on my skin parts of it feel like peach fuzz, and there's a little bit in places black hairs where probably the razor missed.
I love body shaving, I look like Chewbacca or bigfoot without shaving (which might answer a couple things). If ther was a pill I could take to get rid of body hair Id take it. So other than Electrolysis, waxing, What would some of you ladies recommend? A different type of razor? If so what would you recommend?
Amanda, I am like you, Hairy. I actually had laser treatments on my face, chest and back, but laser only works on the darker hairs so I still have light and gray hairs to shave. I have tried a few products, creams and lotions that are supposed to reduce facial hair, but did not work. For now unless we do electrolysis, shaving is the answer. Maybe, shave twice with a good mirror to get all those pesky hairs. One day there will be a pill.
Tweezer, some of the pain in ass hairs. I use laser hair removal, but shave, with lots of cream and a fresh razor.
Nair. Yes you may have a burning sensation, but follow the instructions on the bottle, and it easily removes hair. I wouldn't use it on my face though.
I hyavent' resorted to Nair or electrolysis or laser, yet. Those all sound uncomfortable or iffy.
I use hair conditioner instead of shaving cream. It moisturizes the skin so I don't have to use a lotion after I rinse. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and healthy, and I feel that it doesn't load or clog the razor as quick, and the razor cleans with a rinse, or a shake in the bath water.I trim the hair down with clippers before shaving.
Some people wonder why they get lots of nicks. I find that it takes a light touch if I want to avoid bleeding out. Even cheap disposables won't cut if I am patient and light on the pressure.
My advice: No shaving cream, use hair conditioner. Fresh blades. Trim first.
Hi Amanda ,
I've had electrolysis on my nose area , with great results , good price also as my wife & I went to a beauty school to get it done , several sessions obviously.
We've also purchased a domestic IPL unit , with great results , doing my knuckle hairs ATM.
Nair or Nair like creams have had success with on sensitive areas . My wife wants to use epilator on me, we've tried but it's to painful for me . ☺☺ Tiff
Try the n0n0. I have been lasered and it gets rid of any unwanted growth.
I did Veet dipilitory and broke out! Especially around the privates and nipples! But it was the first time I’ve been hairless in my grown life and I love it!!!
I shave regularly and still break out! I hope it stops soon!
I have to shave against the grain to really get smooth and still have some stubble!
I would take that pill too if I could find it! Lol
Lilly💋💋
To follow up on the hair conditioner, I even use it on my face with my electric razor. The electric razor requires dismantling and thorough rinsing under the faucet or it clogs, but it's the best, most comfortable (face) shave I've ever had.
Forget the multi-blade disposable razors. I experienced way too many ingrown hairs using those things. I did some research and I spoke to a couple of old school barbers. They all basically told me the same thing. The multi-blade razors are useless. I ultimately switched to the old style single blade, double edge razors. I've been using those for about 5 years now and I won't go back to the disposable type. Since I've switched, I've gotten the smoothest and closest shave ever without all the irritation. The ingrown hairs have all but stopped. It is so wonderful to put on my makeup and feel virtually no stubble. And the nice thing is, the blades are cheap. I usually pay around $4 or $5 for a pack of blades as opposed to $30 for 10 blades.
I use Harry's. They leave me very smooth
When Im able to shave the whole body Nair for men works well. I think it has a better feel then the woman's and works well. If u miss any u can always shave what was missed
i am a Harry’s fan too!
i look forward to my little packages almost as much as my Splendies. 🌹
I use shaving gel on my legs and the Gillette Fusion and never had a problem. You may want to try doing more prep (if you have the time) by soaking in a tub, shaving, resoaking, shaving, etc. Also, a good moisturizer also works wonders.
I use a Braun electric on my face and get good results. I used to shave my body but a few years ago switched to an epilator for longer lasting results. Now that's getting old, so I'm getting laser or IPL. I have a consult scheduled for next week.
