Hi Ladies,
Got some solo shopping time, went to Nordstrom Rack. It was relatively early so they had just opened and weren't super busy.
Wearing my skinny jeans and femme loafers I went right over to the womens shoes, found my size and was able to try on 3 pairs of black pumps, fond some but have to go back for them! It was exciting. Two women saw me trying them on, and just smiled. I pretended not to see them. Saw a pair of black boots I was also able to try on, such a rush, with people (women) around. Looked through a number of jeans but didn't find what I was looking for.
Headed to my local thrift store and found it mostly empty, was browsing through dresses and came across another male looking through them, holding them up to himself, so I followed suite. Found one I like although I could not try it on, it was such a fabulous deal that I bought my first dress! Can't wait to put it on. Should have time tomorrow! Hope to either tomorrow or next day, go back and get my pumps too!
Also went to the busy local grocery store, it was packed, got a number of looks in my skinny jeans and shoes, and felt pretty good about it all around. I did not find myself trying to hide or anything, was with SO at that point as well. She did give me another one of those questioning looks when she first saw me this morning, but never said anything.
Gotta go for now gurls!
X's and O's!

Rebekka! Oh girl....what a fabulous story....I am so happy for you....you had a terriffic day! Now we know why girls love shopping. I hope you have many more days like that. Now.....get out of those jeans, slip into a dress and go show some leg!
Hugs of happiness....

Thanks for the encouraging words, Dame Veronica!
From the column of "lessons learned", I had a few moments this afternoon and tried on my dress. I definitely know now what size does not fit! 🙂
It is all good however, it was a long shot and a very, very inexpensive one at that! On another note, I went back to the store this early evening and they still had the black pumps I really liked. I was so close to buying them however;
- I cannot do so with a credit card, SO will certainly find out
- I almost opened a store credit card (that I would have to hide), but decided that was not very nice, and a lot of work.
- I didn't have all the cash on me, but I'll have to get some and just go get those pumps before they are gone!
Thanks again!
Rebekka, wow! You go girl!!! So happy to hear about your shopping day! And feel inspired! Thanks for sharing!
Oh Rebekka I have experinced the same shopping experiences and it is still so exciting even though I have gotten accustom to it over time. Good for you in getting over the anxiety and stepping out. We need to encourage more girls to get out and thanks for sharing to give them the courage hon. Continue to enjoy your journey
Thanks Denise,
And going to go get those pumps tomorrow! Can't wait!
Thanks Michelle!
Glad to inspire and hope to hear some of your successful shopping stories in the future!
An Update!
I bought my pumps! OMG! I forgot how hard it is to walk in pumps! But I am practicing. It will be a bit before I can go out and do this in public! Tricky too!
Love, Love Love them however!
