Shorter skirts, why not?

Not having “been there don’t that” seems like the most probable reason many of want or wish to wear shorter skirts, dresses, and shorts. It’s a shame I didn’t have the courage to go out dressed when younger. Perfect solution is that I would have been born female! TTFN💋👠

I enjoy wearing shorter skirts, especially those knee length or just above the knee

I am very passable as a woman so why not!

I have heard women commenting on older women trying to be "old miss young" when they wear short shorts or skirts.  I have seen many older women in great shape that still rock skirts and shorts and I hope they continue to do so.  Most women as they get older find their bodies changing and they feel their bodies are no longer attractive for various aesthetic reasons.  I understand if anyone doesn't feel comfortable in anything they wear they will avoid it.   I really like wearing short shorts and skirts so I work hard to keep my legs in shape and my skin healthy so I don't get self conscious and stop.  I will keep wearing these things until I think they don't look good anymore.

I think is for the very reasons you stated.  People here and there have on occasion commented positively on my legs. I love short skirts.  My work involves lifting ,pushing boxes and a lot of walking. It's great to be paid and keep my legs in shape while working in uniform shorts!!  I love doing the work, NOT because I want to be "Employee of the Month", but to keep my LEGS LOOKING GREAT!!!!   If they only knew. LOL!!!

Lol Karley! Exactly! If only they knew that the walking we get in at work keeps our legs looking hot! I asked my wife one day what attracted her to me. I did not expect her answer. “Your legs”! I must have been staring at her with my jaw dropped because I was stunned and she just pulled out her phone and showed me pictures of my legs. I didn’t see anything that was outstanding about my legs. Until I put on a pair of 4” heels and she took a picture and showed me. I could not believe how good my legs looked. She just gave me a little smirk. Told you! She said and I just stood there in shock. I have never had anyone comment on my legs before and I’m 58. So naturally I look back at of the time I could have pulled off the short skirt when dressed up when I was younger. Oh well I will have to enjoy the skirts that are a few inches above the knee buf I will be wearing skirts or shorts. TTFN 💋👠

As a man i quite like my legs in a mini skirt and heels, wish more CD's would wear them in public

I just wish the world would hurry and catch up with its attitudes towards dress, so we can wear what we choose whenever we choose , it is only clothes after all what are they frightened of !. I love wearing skirts and would like to,wear one all the time instead of at home or sneaking out in the dark.

I think I read on HerRoom that many women wished they had men's legs - I think because we have less body fat, and are usually active courtesy of the workday - they say many men have 'killer legs' - heels just accentuates it.

Short skirts? Why not? It's summer here in Oz and I see many older women in short dresses especially - it's cooler!

Some shouldn't, but do, some IMHO look pretty damn good.
In any case, dress to please yourself - I (and many probably) are still a 'guy in a dress', so please yourself (and maybe the SO?).

My wife wears a short skirt indoors. When we were younger she wore minis all the time. I like to wear a short pleated skirt now and again.

Imho, the black and white answer is that anyone should be able to wear what they want, if they feel good with.

But society does guide. Short skirts more acceptable on younger women with "good"figures. Older women might be considered "mutton dressed as lamb" (infairly). Short skirts also considered to be associated with sexual signals.

Me - I like short skirts. I have been told I have good legs and backside. Oh, and I have a bit of an inner slut issue.

Hi, I love short skirts although at my age perhaps it is not recommended lol.

I've been told i have good legs which is nice because i do like to wear short skirts despite my age. The ones i like are pleated and i love they way they swish when i walk rather than a pencil skirt. I do have some longer ones but i don't wear them that often. besides stockings or hold ups look great with high heels.

Like most members we just wear what we want, whether you are 17 or 70, if you have good legs, why not show them off. There are also so many varieties of opaque or support tights ( pantyhose ) to cover imperfections. If you feel good, and think a shorter skirt or dress looks good on you in the mirror, go for it.

Just one more thing, short skirt and stockings - no ! Not a good look unless fancy dress or behind closed doors.
