My wife and I spent the weekend exhibiting a Sinclair C5 at a classic and vintage show. It got a bit wet and cold, and the heating packed up in our motorhome. To get a bit warmer, we went into the clubhouse of the place where the event was held. I was in Cerys mode. We got chatting to a man exhibiting an old bicycle. My wife told him that she has an 1948 bicycle that she exhibits but it wasn't here this weekend. Then he asked "Are you sisters". The look in my wife's eyes said all I needed to know. She was not impressed. I answered that my wife was my wife. He first looked confused, paused for a second and then said "Good for you". I'm not sure if he realised that I was a man, or if he thought we were a lesbian couple. He was an older chap, maybe in his 80s. He stayed talking. He didn't go running off 🙂
I did chuckle to myself that he thought we were sisters. My wife and I are roughly the same height, and have the same hair colour, though hers is greying.
Thankfully, Sunday was warm and sunny. It was a great weekend. A few more friends got to meet Cerys, which was nice 😉

I love this so much!!! 😍
Bitter sweet Cerys and gave me a smile on a grey day.
Whatever the chaps reasonings he just carried on as you had a shared interest. It's interesting it is oft said that the older generation are more unaccepting but I haven't found this to be so.
I had to look up what a Sinclair C5 was and it reminded me of the episode of Top Gear where Clarkson built a single seat car for himself. I believe he drove it into a shopping center or even the BBC office. It was quite amusing.
That was a Peel 50. He didn't build it. They were available to buy. I've driven one. Great fun!
