I am almost completely an Underdresser CD partly to accommodate my wife’s comfort level and partly because I’d be a “guy in a dress” if I did more when I would give a kidney to just be seen as an attractive woman and wear all the pretty things.
Anyway, so I don’ t really buy women’s non-underwear aside from legginga and the odd swimsuit. But I am in love with skirts: swishy satin long skirts, tight leather mini ones, formal ones with taffeta and layers of crinoline, proper tartan ones like a uniform… and pretty dresses are as good like skater dresses or satin gowns. I have worn all of the above in women’s dressing rooms and on a few thrilling occasions worn them around the store where other women could see. I love how they feel, open and free or sometimes restricting (the price of fashion). If they flare a bit it helps give me the illusion of hips! 😀
Anyone else addicted to skirts (and able to wear them out in public?)
I do like skirts, though only have one I consistently wear out. My others are for what I call 'infits' (outfits are for wearing out, you see).
I will say that in my journey a few suggested I go out and I felt, "No, I know what I'll look like, and it won't be good." Well, that was true until I did it. You never know... 😉
I love that I can mix my skirts with different tops, sometimes by color, sometimes by season (changing sleeve length or by a warmer or cooler top). My closet doesn't have that much room for dresses but has a ton of space for skirts.
I have skirts of different lengths from mini to maxi, different colors, and different materials. I have some tighter skirts or straight skirts, but mostly they are wider (A-line, skater, even circle skirts).
And yes, when I go out en femme, I'm usually in a skirt and top. I'll walk around my neighborhood dressed like this, or go shopping, or occasionally to my support group, most often in a skirt and top.
Yes, the wider skirts give the illusion of hips. Sometimes I'll add a short soft tutu petticoat underneath to widen my hips, round out the back side, help hide any wardrobe malfunction in front, and to hold the skirt out just a bit. It doesn't look like I'm wearing a petticoat, but it can help with giving me a more feminine shape.
I too have an addiction to skirts. Wendy's wardrobe is 99% seperates, and the bottoms are 99% skirts.
I used to buy whatever skirt tickled my fancy, but what wound up happening was it didn't look great when I got it home or I got too fat for it and it no longer fit, so I've donated a big portion of my skirts.
All of my skirts are pencil skirts, I simply love the snug/tight look and if they are snug enough I get wicked vpl. I'm not a fan of mini skirts, most of mine are just above the knee. They are all solid in colour, black, tan, red, blue, no floral designs. I used to buy zippered skirts only, but getting fatter in the waist meant the zippered styles no longer fit and I got tired of wasting good $$$ on lovely skirts only to donate it later after wearing it only once or twice. So now I've started to buy pull on skirts with elastic waist, which gives me the flexibility in the future should I get wider in the waist.
As my wife has commented on more than one occassion, I am definitely more of a dress and skirt girl that she is. That being said, yes, I would consider myself addicted to skirts. They are my go to outfit, especially in the summer and early fall. I do not wear skirts and dress as often in the winter months as the weather is not as permitting. (Most footware that looks good with a skirt is not the best for walking in snow and ice.)

With you. My wife owns 0 skirts, and 0 dresses. Lorraine has more dresses than pants and that doesn’t count her skirts. I much prefer dresses, but will wear anything feminine looking. Love your cameo
I can't imagine an CD who doesn't enjoy a skirt (or dress). Not all can wear them in public comfortably, and that is fine if one is content to just wear them around the house or store. Being a CD does not mean you have to go out in public, and I bet most don't. That said I have worn skirts in public. When otherwise in male mode without any issues, so it is possible. Fortunately, I can also dress fully en femme and her away with it to a degree and that is fun as well. Just do what you are comfortable with. As I have posted. many times, if somebody has a problem with the way you dress, it is their problem, not yours.
I have an addiction to skirts as well, as they fit much better than a dress I have so many pencil skirt, so sexy!
I LOVE skirts, the shorter the better... to a point. All of the skirts I've worn in public are technically minis but they aren't micro; they fall mid-thigh to just above the knee. Short yes, but not ridiculous. If I'm out, and it's not summer, I'm in a skirt and tights. I like how I look, my wife likes how I look, and I even had a sales clerk tell me "if I had legs like yours, I'd wear short skirts, too... legs for days". My wife still teases me about that. I'm all about the skirts!
I love wearing skirts and dresses. Actually that is one of the thrills of crossdressing for me as it is very feminine. I only dress at home but would love to be able to go out in public. I have dressed in a dress or skirt/blouse for some of my therapy sessions. It was so nice to be abler to talk about Suzanne and my dressing while dressed. Aside form dresses and skirts I also have a couple skorts which are fun to wear.
XOXO

I don't know the "legal" definitions of skirt length, but I don't consider just above the knew to be a short skirt or mini. It is a reasonable length for most of us.
I have recently got into skirts - I currently have about 10 , all mini A line style which I love pairing with a nice top and some opaque tights
I love skirts, all lengths. With my wide shoulders, tops fit me in large size and skirts in medium, even with hip pads. Even if I am passed 60, I will wear above the knee skirts in public, no minis. I have decent looking legs and do not mind exposing them. My wife even comments on them. At the end, you wear what gives you the most confidence and keep improving at each public appearance.
I love skirts and I have some long colorful ones. My wardrobe consists mostly of blouses and shorts. Now I'm buying some clothes to renew it. I'll try some shorter skirts to see how it goes. Maybe I'm too insecure.
I wear skirts a lot and do enjoy them. Over 35 dressy skirts consisting of above the knee, just below the knee, a few longer ones ,minis and probably 10 denim skirts. Yes I’ve worn skirts in public many times but not not as often as I like.
