Over the holidays I accidentally outed myself to my Mom……
Every year she asks us to send her a link to our Amazon wish list for holiday time gifts. Well this year I had 2 list set up on Amazon, one public, and one private one just for my wife set to secret.
Well apparently I was not paying as much attention as I should have been and sent the wrong list link to my Mom and didn’t realize it.
A few days later she calls me and say, ”Sweety, This stuff is cute, but I don’t know if you want to open these things in front of your Father and Brother. I think it will cause problems you don’t want. How about you pick out 2 things from the list that I give you privately and then send me a different list of things for you to open in front of everyone on Christmas.”
I was kind of floored at this point, because I just realized what I did. It turned out being a good thing though, because we had a really good talk. Her only concern was if my wife knew and once I told her that is who that list was actually for she was fine.
Apparently, teen Lacey was not the super stealthy secret agent ninja girl she thought she was when trying on Mommy’s clothes, even though she thought she was a super sneaky ghost and put everything back just right. Apparently she knew I was wearing her clothes and just never felt the need to bring it up to me or anyone else.
So I made a mistake, but it worked out well. I can totally blame that on my phone though right?

Nice I loved it moms are cool I never came out to my parents we were a very religious catholie family the only one who knew was my cousin Cheryl she dressed like a live doll we were 8 or 9 at the time she passed away 5 years ago I still miss her she also came with me to one of my first nights out dressed in public

It is actually really nice. I am up to about maybe 20 or so people knowing at this point. A few family members, a few close friends, and a few other friends we know in the LGBTQ+ Community. That doesn’t include the gender support group we gone to a few times so far. Right now we have kind of decided we’ve told who we are going to tell and while we are not advertising it it’s not going to be a deep dark secret either.
I get it. My mother is Irish Catholic. Was totally not how I imagined it going if I told her.
That's only funny if it happens to someone else.

My Mom is great, and you can giggle because it happened to me. Also remember if you are going to have multiple Amazon Wishlists, maybe check which one you are sending before you send it… :p

Good for you! And good for Mom for having the good and loving sense to mention privately.
When I was very young, my Mom and an aunt dressed me as a girl because Mom wanted a girl...and the aunt thought it might help Mom. I do not believe they understood the power of an imprint at that time.
Not sure of your circumstances, but do appreciate this time with Mom. It will turn out special if you let it.

It is amazing how mums tend to know everything and not say anything until the time is right.

I am sure that my mum knew that I dressed, but also said nothing to discourage me. This I know, as I look back in the past after reading this post and now remember the little hints that she passed to me.
