Four purchases arrived today. First, I received a new wig which was a slight downsizing from my last one. The hair is a little shorter and the bangs are reasonable. I tried that on and I am pleased. Second, a Vanity Fair half slip which I needed because a couple of skirts seem to be clinging to my stockings. This is a pure nylon slip and of course the material is exactly right. My third item is the Loday waist trainer corset with front hook plus outer zipper. After 2 hours wearing it during my evening dinner I am feeling fine. It's very snug and I'm inclined to conclude it will suppress the appetite. I also am looking forward to wearing it for the next time I go out dressed.
Finally, my prize.posessing is a new nightgown. I have had my eye on the Amazon Singingqueen vintage Victorian long sleeve nightgown for a couple of years and thought it was too much money and maybe it wouldn't fit anyway. Last week I took a chance, after reading the comments on CDH about how much my sisters have spent on a nightgown. I've tried it on (size XL) and joyfully, it fits. And it's beautiful. Puffly long sleeves with lots of frilly lace plus the graceful ribbon tie front. Tonight I am going to sleep like a princess.

ps. Now it's bedtime and I'm wearing this new nightgown. Oh wow. These puffy sleeves, the ribbon, the chiffon fringe encircling the sleeves. This is so divine... Whoops! She's hugging herself again!!
Dani, You are rocking it. Amazon can be the first step to Posh and a wardrobe full of clothes. Sweet dreams, Marg

I love that nightgown Dani, so very pretty and feminine. I may have to try it.
I have a sleeveless, shorter, v-neck nightie made of pink chiffon with a thin cotton underlayer and lace trim around the hem and neck. It is yummy to wear so I can imagine how it must feel to be wrapped in all that chiffon!
The Singingqueen gown is mid-calf length if you are 5'10". At 200 lbs, I find the XL to fit ok, just like most other things in that size for me. This one was expensive enough that apparently someone bought it, wore it once (maybe to bed), then sent it back in the original plastic wrapper. It was soaked in perfume and I had to wash it first. I've never had that happen with the other more popular Amazon brands. At least I didn't worry about bugs because the gas coming off that perfume woulda killed anything.
But otherwise I heartily endorse that gown and will be considering more from that brand.
And oh yeah your nightie sounds adorably delicious. Gowns such as these, oh my, now that I've worn one, dear me I couldn't stop hugging myself. Today I am home and fully dressed, even a wig all day, I'm so charged up.
