Yesterday as I was knee-deep in my favorite hobby, right in the midst of it the song ‘Sunday Girl’ from Blondie started playing. As I hummed along, I couldn’t help but think: “What a perfect song for a crossdresser.”
Some songs just fit it do they not? I was a teen in the 70’s when Paul McCartney had a minor hit (for him) - with “Just Another Day”. I love that song still and I thing one of the subconscious reasons was it’s kind of a crossdressing song. “Slipping into stockings, stepping into shoes, dipping in the pocket of her raincoat…” Maybe I imagined myself that girl in the song?
Do any of you hot babes have any “must listen to” dress up songs to set the mood for you? I crank up those tunes when getting ready!
As always I had a great time being a “Sunday Girl”. I highly recommend it🥰
”Stay at home Sunday Girl….ooh, wooh, wooh!”❤️❤️❤️
In a funny twist Lynsey De Paul. Getting a drag - 'I just met a mister who was as pretty as my sister' She was a beautiful lady and who wouldn't have wanted to look like her, I know I did...
Wow......I thought I was the only one who thought of being the girl in “Just Another Day." I'll have that going through my head all day. Thanks for the smile!

Hmm never thought of a theme song so to speak. Usually I’m so pumped up when I’m prepping to go out I’m pretty quiet.
If I start singing, as I’m prone to do, I’ll mess up my makeup.😅
Hi Grace, I have 3 songs that I usually play as I roll out of the driveway to a fun glam night. They are always playing around in my head as I start getting dressed. They are "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress" by the Hollies (even though I'm a short person), "The Dark side by Eddie and the Cruisers" and "Light of Day by Joan Jett and Michael J. Fox" (aka The Barbusters from the movie). So, now you know how I'm rolling, which in fact this week, will be this Thurs and Saturday if the weather cooperates. Thanks for the fun topic. Marg
I keep playing Luna by Anna Lapwood. Fabulous album
I usually dress to go out to something like Patty Gurdy, Tove Lo or Emigrate—wildly different styles of music that also have nothing at all to do with cross-dressing.
Man…I feel like a woman, from Shania Twain
I don't have any song in particular I get ready to or play when I'm dressed but I do remember having a big laugh one day when I was fully dressed and that day I'd picked bright pink lipstick and nail polish and I had on a pink top when they started playing I'm a Barbie Girl by Aqua.
Carole King"s "You make me feel like a natural woman"
Plus I have "make up music". James Galway "tootling his flute" and Canadian singer /songwriter/ pianist/guitarist Richard Samuel,s tinkling away on his "goanna". (Aussie slang for "pianna/piano
Years gone by back, in the cassette tape days, anything sung by Linda Rondsadt in her days with Nelson Riddle. All the "old torch songs"
Worth a watch even just for the costumes!!!
"Whats New, pardon my asking whats new"
Caty.
I tend to be listening to Planet Rock radio when I'm doing my hair and getting dressed, and the only song they are likely to play would be "Dude looks like a Lady" 🙂
They do sometimes play "Take a Walk on the Wild Side" which is a proper crossdressing song.
A song that Planet Rock will never play, but always makes me smile if I hear it when I'm in Cerys mode is "Man! I feel like a woman". Other than the "mens' shirts" bit, it fits quite well 🙂
Being a lifelong Kinks fan "Lola" is very special. I've been lucky enough to have seen them play it live. I often wonder if this song had an influence on me 🙂
