So, my inquisitive CD-self now knows (for you have readily shared, TY) what you will be wearing and singing on your final day and just how you made sure you were clean-tidy-and-freshly-laundered for it, so now to the more mundane everyday matters of ‘food’ (which I’ve found does matter, bigly), and because it is a Sunday, for some a day of rest from work if not already retired, what might you have for breakfast. I’m guessing it (the food that is, your clothing, well that’s likely to be a quite different matter) isn’t CD coloured in any way, unless you hold your pinkie in a certain way whilst drinking your early morning brew from your fine bone China tea cup (please ladies, no mugs).

Sunday breakfast. Any different from say a Monday breakfast?

And your bonus Q: Anyone admit to having had beer-for-breakfast in a truly Kris Kristofferson type way?

@valentina16 breakfast today, 3 slices of brioche toast and a whole pot of coffee.

I've got a meeting later on today so won't be fully dolled (Sunday is normally an Anna day).

@valentina16    I sleep dressed in my most feminine  nighties every night.  I put on a matching robe for breakfast.  Every day, coffee, cereal with fresh fruit, and watch the market open with Stuart Varney.  Old girls are creatures of habit.😃

@valentina16 What's wrong with my mug? I love sitting about in my nightgown, robe and pink slippers, sipping my coffee from a mug, holding it in both hands to warm them and show off my manicure. Tucking my hair behind my ear, showing off my earrings, leaving a trace of lipstick on the rim.

So please tell me what's wrong with that?

@cherylt Well, have you tried putting your dainties around a bone China cup, even leaving lipstick on the rim? But, I see you’re drinking coffee, which is quite quite different, so a mug is allowable, so long as it is a Star Trek mug of course. Ms Remington (below) is (please be advised) the established reference on this. ☕️☕️☕️

@valentina16 our Sunday was lazy here… extremely cold outside so we stayed in bed and snuggled … breakfast was cheesy scrambled eggs and bacon , homemade sourdough bread and peach-raspberry jam , with tea… in a giant mug. I wore panties, yoga pants and a satin cami, with a big hoodie pulled over top… we didn’t venture far from the house except to haul in more firewood to stoke the wood stove.

My wife is working this weekend so it's only me. A bagel with avocado spread and plenty of coffee.

I need 4 cups of coffee before I can think about what to eat. Sundays are brkfst out with my sweetheart. Then usually shopping with me hefting cases of bottled water as we manly men do. After shopping, well, we do have to go by the best thrift shop in town so might as well stop in. There I will carry my to-go coffee around the store, sipping and looking at various things. All the while pretending I’m not a crossdresser.🥰 “Honey, do you think this dress would sell in our E-Bay store???”

I love my life❤️

@gracepal Wow, you use the same normalisation approach I do. If challenged in a charity/thrift/goodwill shop why I’m buying all 5 pairs of Wolford’s tights, size XL when my good lady is only 4’11” and dress size 12, at a giveaway price of $2 a pair, I would explain that I can triple my money on eBuy (note the deliberate misspelling there). They may never know, or in truth actually care.

No, my Sunday breakfast isn't any different than the rest of the week. I have to be out early for religious services so I don't have time for a big breakfast. Usually just a bowl of cereal.

Additionally, I can't really eat a large breakfast, and have to be careful about eating too many carbs. I had cancer surgery in 2023 where they removed part of my pancreas, so I've been keeping an eye on carbs ever since.

As for beer, I can't stand the stuff, and don't drink it at any time.

@alison-anderson Thank you Alison, and I hope you are sufficiently on top of the cancer.

Take care

Valentina, I very seldom do eat breakfast but if I do, it's on the weekend. I use to love wearing my special under dressings and going out for breakfast but all our good places to go have closed. But here I am in my lace nightgown under my fluffy violet robe, thinking of trying a new place that started serving brunch. It's odd that you asked the question, because before bed I thought of doing just that.

So now that I've finished my Americano, in my Star Trek mug, which I've used for my weekend coffee the last 22 years, I'm going to wake up my wife, take a shower, shave my legs and put on my favorite bra and pantie under my ladies jeans and top and do it! Hopefully They do a good brunch.

Happy Sunday

Sherri

@valentina16   Many years ago , upon entering the men’s room of a pub,  as I faced the wall  I looked up to see the most profound saying: “ no intelligent like forms found here, Kirk out”.  🖖

Hi Valentina!

My Sunday breakfast is the same as week days. 2 mugs of coffee, bowl of cheerios with coconut milk, and a banana. Since my wife stays in bed on weekends I manage to under dress in bra and panties. I add tights before exercising which now alternates daily between walking 5 miles and riding my bicycle 10 miles. After exercising I have greek yogurt with blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and black berries. By the time my wife gets up, I remove the bra and return it to one of the hiding places.

While reviewing the responses to this post I went and added a Picard uniform Star Trek mug to my wish list on Amazon. As a big trek fan it amazes me that I have never had a Star Trek mug but if I am going to keep having morning coffee.... I should do it right!!

Hugs,

Autumn

Breakfast was a whole grain waffle with almond butter and coffee. I was wearing sweat pants and t shirt. Fairly boring morning.

Hello Valentina.

My breakfast today was a banana, a cup of coffee, two pieces of toast with butter, cheese and fried eggs with ham. Basically, what changes during the week is the fruit (twice a week is j sugar free juice) and the proteins (ham, bacon, sausages, chorizo, liver or steak with onions, gizzards, etc.) Sometimes corn flakes or another cereal instead of bread.

Although it is certainly not as large a breakfast as it seems, the portions are medium-sized.

Gisela

I make my same old breakfast everyday while my wife remains in bed.  1 Eggo Waffle, 1 cup of regular coffee, 1 cup of water, 1 small breakfast sausage, 3 cashews and 3 grapes.  I wear jeans and a flannel shirt.  It only takes me 10 minutes and then I'm off to my workday.  Marg

@margprodue Marg, if I may, you sound quite ‘particular and precise’. So, I’m guessing, a Virgo, an accountant, maybe?!

@valentina16   Oh no Valentina,  just read my profile to get the full flavor, but I am a water bearer, a costumer and a lumberjack.  I don't like to eat food so I only eat what I enjoy and don't want to waste any time.  My stomach is about the size of a walnut.  BTW, my wife says that I eat only for fuel intake but my labs are always better than my doctors.  Happy mornings,  Marg

My humble apologies Marg. I have now read your wonderful profile and see the final words “I joined CDH and TGH in the hope that I might be able to share what I have learned and help others”. I have both learned and been helped, thank you. I look forward to seeing you more. Valentina.

@valentina16   Hi Valentina, No Problem and no apology needed.  Just enjoy life and try to make the world a better place.  Glad you enjoyed my answer.  BTW, I thought that you'd enjoy what I have for lunch and dinner every day...1 small slice of pepperoni pizza, 1 can of Miller Lite Beer, 1 cup of tap water, 1 oatmeal raisin cookie and of course 3 cashews and 3 grapes.  Today as I'm typing this I'm just finishing the last of my beer and I have to confess that today it was 4 cashews since I just grabbed from the jar with cold arthritic hands from my morning work (3 is just a target number, I'm on the autism scale but actually quite functional).  lol  Hope to meet you in person some day.  I hoped to go to Ellie Davis' First Leeds Event in August but I have a speaking engagement at The Atlanta Comfort Conference then so I will have to miss it but I think it is  going to be a grand event ( I secretly refer to it a Leedsapalooza).  If you can possibly make it I strongly suggest that you hop on a train and join the fun. Hugs,  Marg

@margprodue thank you for your magnanimity and advice. 1 August is so close to my WA that it might be my last if I didn’t spend it with my good lady. Besides which, I don’t go out en femme. If I did go to Leeds, they would (from their lovely photos) be ladies and I would most certainly be the tramp. Perhaps one day.

@valentina16  Hey Valentina, Ok, no worries.  Enjoy the time but I do know that these groups will always accept and welcome you as you are, even if it's only for 1 hour and you are in drab.  It's really about the connection and sharing and the clothes are just some extra frosting.  Wishing you and your family all the best from a 4 grape lunchtime (they were stuck together lol) across the pond.  Love your questions.  Hugs,  Marg

I've patiently waited for someone to break the ice, but you're all so healthy !!!

So I'll mention a once in a while weekend fry up. Sausages, bacon ( British style), eggs, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes. Oh and sometimes black or white pudding. A couple of rounds of toast.

Washed down with a mug - a pint mug - or two of Yorkshire tea. I'm not proud, bone china is not my thing. You can still leave lipstick smears on mugs.

That's one end of the spectrum. At the other end I go without, but not my tea . Otherwise it could be anything - healthy even. But I also try not to throw food away. So if I've made a curry or got any other left overs I may mike it up for brekkie.

Emma x

@emmat We be almost bosom pals Ms Emma, for your typical English (aka Irish) breakfast is our treat to ourselves on a Sunday morning, certainly in winter times. And I too do sometimes skip it, though apparently not very good for me. However, I did make sure to use the word ‘almost’ for I could not face curry for breakfast, it would wait for a second appearance the following evening or two.

Mrs V certainly does look forward every week to me cooking this in the healthiest way possible. Which is a challenge in itself. 💚☺️💚
