I wanted to give all you ladies an update on my Open heart surgery. I have been home for a while and moved back to my area. My chest scabbed over then the scabs came off only time I need my pillow is when I sneeze. I am able to drive again and going to the local park for some exercise. My first follow up appointment with the surgeon is this week. Have a Happy new year Ladies.

I had my surgery last August. There were some complications, including having a cough for four weeks. Ouch! May I recommend getting all of your shots and wearing a mask?
@harriette Thanks I will get a mask my shots are up to date the Hospital seen to that before surgery. I had the same cough my allergies acted up so I was coughing and full of well ya know.

Hi all I had my post op surgeons visit to day I seen his Nurse Practitioner. Every thing went well my x-rays came back great. She was happy about how far I came along and how quick I recoverd but warned me If I have a setback not to let it discourage me cause setbacks happen. Oh and I had a double bypass. Thats about it thak you ladies for the encouraging and get well comments. TTY
