Been reading a cool book titled"1968, the Year that Rocked the World" In one of the first chapters, it mentions that in 1968 the UK had an exemption on the 12.5% sales tax, designed to exempt tax on children's clothing, but it also exempted any skirt less than 24 inch, waist to hem.According to the author, most fashionable women in 68 wore skirts between 13 and 20 inches.Wonder how long it took to close the "miniskirt exemption" ?
I was born in 1968 !
I whish the Tax-Free Mini Skirts came back....
With the popularity of mini skirts I'm surprised the tax doesn't go up. LOL
