I have been feeling a bit down lately and have been slacking in my participation in the forums. Perhaps it’s the weather or the pandemic, or any of a myriad of things, but my self esteem has taken a beating. Enough griping and on to the thanks part.

A member here who shall remain nameless (you know who you are) reached out to me with a private message just checking on how I was. No agenda, no condemnation, just a friend checking on a friend. It brightened not only my day, but my whole demeanor. I shall be forever grateful for that short note that showed someone cared. Bringing tears to my eyes just thinking about it.
In conclusion (which if you are a preacher or politician means nothing), never take for granted the effect a kind word at just the right time can have. We need to be supporting each other as much as we possibly can.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I’m so happy your feeling better and many thanks to the anonymous friend for providing you the kind words. We all hit that wall and just need that nudge to get us back on track.

Hi Emily

I'm sure that the person who cheered you up is delighted it hit the spot and it probably made them happy making you happy...

I always think that when you accept a friend request...or send one and it's accepted....instead of just racking up another number.....take it to the next level.....it doesn't take a minute, to show you care....well done mystery lady

Hi Emily,

Great to hear you’re doing better.  Winter can get you down and Covid sure is scary.

Thank you, Emily.
You are spot on, on this, and Im afraid it's a bit of a slap on my wrist, unknowingly to you. I get busy in my own life, and dont check in on the friends I have made here, and not heard from lately. I need to do better, so, again, thank you
Hugs, Regi

I'm sorry you've been feeling down lately Emily, we all get in those ruts and this pandemic, as well as the weather, doesn't help at all.  You are so right though in how a few simple words can make all the difference.  I think you just paid it forward with this post hon.  ❤
