To get you thinking and for fun , one item only and no "it's the whole thing" answers 😉

Which item when you're transforming from drab to femme really hits the mark. Makes you think "yes !! I've got this" , seals the deal if you like or even turns you on.

Feel of the high heels going on , a spray of perfume , fastening the unuasually slim banded watch around your arm  , positioning the bra strap on your shoulder ? ..........go for it .

For me it's the swish and feel of my sheer tights xx

@kayt

My item is the wig. It's almost the last thing to go on, only followed by shoes and bling. But the wig is what transforms me from me to she, the moment I look in the mirror and say "Hello, Jacqueline!".

Similarly, taking the wig off is the moment I say goodbye... until next time.

@jacquelinelarkspur Absolutely the wig.  And I really do say goodbye (well, it's more 'au revoir' to Fiona in the mirror just before I take it off again 🙂

Strangely the shoes are one of my first things to go on, I normally wear some flats around the house the same as I would my slippers when in drab.  When just under-dressing I often put them on too when indoors.

@kayt I often get the urge and desire to wear silky nylons. I can try to ignore it, but it's like being thirsty or hungry. The feeling doesn't go away until you satisfy it.

So, I get a pair of silky, sheer to waist pantyhose and start rolling up the legs. At that moment I feel different. I feel femme. I want to be femme. I need to be femme. It's like some kind of femme force is taking over me.

I get my pantyhose on and pulled up. I look down at my legs and touch and caress them. Mmmm! They look and feel so heavenly. I've entered a world of femme bliss. I slip on a pair of heels. My legs look even sexier and feel even better. I take some time to admire them as I slip further and further into femme bliss and haze.

I put on my bra. All my life, I loved wearing pantyhose heels and bra. That feeling never went away. In fact if anything it's gotten stronger, more intense, more wonderful  and more pleasurable. I am in some kind of feminine state. It's like a spiritual epiphany of intense pleasure. I slip in my breastforms. I'm becoming femme. The pleasure and bliss caresses and embraces me.

I slip on one of my favorite, short, sexy dresses. I am totally lost in wave after wave of intense pleasure and euphoria. I can't feel this way doing anything else.

I have a special wig to wear with the special dress I'm wearing. I put it on. This is the ultimate rush of pleasure and euphoria. I'm a girl. I'm a sexy girl. I have sexy legs, nice breasts and pretty hair. I am femme. I am a girly.

I take some time to enjoy the bliss, pleasure and euphoria. I want to look and feel like this all the time. It's like I entered and got lost in a different kind of reality.

@pattyphose fantastic answer! With variations I feel the same way. Everything about the trans(formation) rockets me to utter bliss. For me, I reach my ultimate moment of womanhood when I apply my red lipstick and put on a wig (oh my, which wig to wear!). Satisfied I head out the door for some shopping.

I dress full time at home but I still ALWAYS love that feel of a satin nightie or a lined skirt against freshly shaved and lotioned legs. That's NEVER going to get old.

A spray of perfume is definitely up there at the top of my list too 🙂

Thinking about one item I could never forgo, it would be knickers (panties). They're not the 'seal the deal' transformative thing that you're talking about ... but I'd fall to pieces if I couldn't wear them EVERY day.

Kay, I’m with JJ, it’s most definitely the bra, reaching around and hooking the band…that when Christine finds herself and is complete.  It’s especially so when the bra really fits well and is lacy!

(but if I can add a close second, it is when my legs a freshly shaved).

@kayt for me it used to be tights, but since I started to wear a wig, it’s been that. When I put it on I feel transformed.

Conversely, when it comes off I often feel quite deflated. I now try and leave it on until I’ve removed everything else if possible

Love the chocolate analogy. I also love chocolate, but who doesn’t?
I can say for definite though that chocolate tastes better than a wig. I managed to get it attached to some toast with jam and took a nibble out of it. Yuk 🥴

@ellyd22 Brilliant idea!

If it was long enough, you could take a bite if you felt the urge.

You could even shape it by just nibbling it here and there. What’s not to like?

So was that what the last line of the TV advert used to say?

Well, not "bra", obviously. British TV used to have standards, after all.

It's just teething problems.

The important thing is to keep trying it until you get it right.

I feel that the percentage of cocoa solids might be a key factor.

And have you tried milk chocolate in one cup, and plain in the other?

@ellyd22 Actually, I had 95% cocoa plain chocolate in one cup and a few crushed Milky Bars in the other...  not so pretty...  (Sorry for those of us on the west side of the Atlantic who may not know what a Milky Bar is - one of the treats of a mis-spent youth that you may wish to get to know about now....)  Holly XXX

@hottestwitch

This gives a whole new meaning to 'The Milky Bars are on me!'

I think that this was a promising start.

However ... you need to repeat the experiment, but just altering ONE variable at a time to ensure a fair test.

As an example, keep the cup size and mass of chocolate constant, use the same chocolate brands each time and assess the degree of melting over the same time period ... but vary the ambient temperature.

I suggest that you repeat the experiment with a fully-packed bra (500g of chocolate in each cup?) as follows:

  • once in your front garden on a frosty morning.
  • once in a normally-heated room (e.g. an office or similar).
  • once in a warm, crowded club.

In each environment, you should stand absolutely motionless for a timed ten-minute period to ensure parity between the measurements.

We ALSO need to think about how to take the actual measurements.

Change in viscosity, for example, would be proportional to how far the molten chocolate dripped from each bra cup.

This would be difficult to measure yourself ... so you would need to have your top off (to allow free access) in each case, and your lab partner would need to be ready to record total drippage once the time had elapsed.

I'm excited by this ... it feels like ground-breaking research.

I look forward to seeing your full report.

Hugs

Different things on different days. Some days it's the zip of a skirt as it gets to the top. Some days it the putting on of a nice pair of tights (panyhose). Some days it's the slipping on of heels. Some days it's the spray of perfume. Some days it's the application of lipstick. Most days it's looking in the mirror to see Cerys looking back and thinking "you're good at this sht!" 🙂

@kayt A number of people have already said it. For me it's the wig. The wig changes my face more so than even makeup does. If I'm going swimming, I'll just clip in some bangs (fringes).

I came close to wearing the wig in male mode. I was undergoing chemotherapy last year, and I had a wig that was similar in length and color to my own hair. I went to my stylist and had her trim the bangs (they were just a tad too long) and length to about where my hair was (although it was a just a bit longer). My plan was that if I lost all my hair, I would go with the wig. The bangs were different in that I don't have bangs as a guy, and the hair is definitely fuller than my male hair, but I would have worn it rather than going out bald.

Fortunately I didn't lose all my hair. I had a lot of breakage so it got shorter, and it got less dense on my head. Because I did't want to spend money coloring it if I lost it all, it has become grey. Now that I've had a couple of clean diagnostics, I plan to get the grey colored back out, and leave the wig for en femme time.

Exactly this. No matter how well I apply my makeup it only ever looks right when it's all framed by my wig. Can't do without the makeup, though!

Which item when you're transforming from drab to femme really hits the mark. Makes you think "yes !! I've got this" , seals the deal if you like or even turns you on.

Shape wear and padding. Anything that gives the illusion of me having a feminine shape.

For me it was the feeling of placing my forms into my bra and getting them in just the right place. To me the bra is the most feminine article of clothing and therefore it is the item that gets my juices flowing.

For me it's my bra. Mainly because a bra is the only article of female atire that is designed just for women. Except if a guy has enlarged breast which is in my case. I have a natural "C" cup breast I fully and completely fill out a "C" cup bra and need nothing extra added in the bra to fill it out. I just love and adore my Breasts, and I'm proud that I have them.

@kayt probably it’s the whole thing but, since it can’t be that, it’s the wig definitely. I wear about four different styles and each provides a completely different look.

It's the process of hiding away my facial shadow with concealer and foundation.  After that's done I feel so much less like "just a boy in a dress" as the line goes in "To Wong Foo..." and more like a woman.

Unfortunately, getting made up to that degree is one of the thing my blessedly tolerant wife still has problems with, complaining that I look "too feminine."  She has suggested I go for laser treatment.  I'm considering it.

@charlottesometimes  Thanks for pointing out this movie, for a few of reasons.

I think that I remember something of this movie, in my past, but I never got around to seeing it, until now. It is quite enjoyable and doesn't go heavily into the psychotic self-pity or abuse of characters who go against the grain of society, such as they do for swingers, for example. It's downright shameful what Hollywood can do, but, fortunately, "To Wong Foo..." doesn't go that route.

Fortunately, my wife watched it with me. I think that she knew Patrick Swayze played this part because she anticipated it happening. That didn't stop her from watching it and she laughed at its low humour. English isn't her native language, but it wasn't necessary to understand some of what happened, and I helped her out with some other details,x too.

I hope the movie's humour broke some of my wife's resistance to crossdressing. I learned a bit, too, plus we both picked up on the fact that a lovely young John Leguizamo (from the John Wick series) was in the movie.

A very enjoyable movie and I can certainly recommend watching "To Wong Foo.." for an upcoming night curled up in front of the TV.

I have the same problems. A} Trying to get makeup to point where I truly look female. B) The makeup along with the wig get my wife upset. The rest she now tolerates including the shoes.

Without a doubt it would be putting on a bra. I can dress to any level from just a pair of panties to fully en femme, but without a bra I am not en femme (except when in a bikini, a bikini top is a great substitute for a bra.

Previously, I would have said hip pads make it for me but one can always get round the lack of hips using clothing, same with bra and breast forms but one can't wear prosthetics on one's face so for me, the one thing that makes SUCH a difference is: Eye liner. It changes one's entire face, takes the focus off the male attributes of the square jaw, Adam's Apple (if you have one, I don't seem to) etc. and brings the focus to the eyes and it's the eyes that people notice first so if you can get one step ahead with first impressions then that's for the best.

Hi Kay

What a great question!

It’s a tough one to answer, but for me it’s the glasses. That’s the finishing touch that when I look in the mirror and I see Samantha looking back. A smile and a quick touch up of the lipstick and I’m ready for the camera.

For me, Samantha comes alive once they are on. It’s like Wonderwoman in reverse. I would also say tights/pantyhose are important but the glasses have that edge!

Saturday hugs,

Samantha 😘

This is an interesting reply! I've worn glasses all my life, and without them everything's a blurry mess. Years ago, when I used to have more nights out than I do now, I would go without my glasses purely from vanity. Nowadays it's more important to me to be able to see. Most of the time, anyway!

@jacquelinelarkspur It's a bit of a problem needing glasses isn't it.  My current varifocals don't suit Fiona, luckily I've still got an older pair of distance glasses with more sympathetically shaped frames.  We share screen glasses, just have to be back in the other ones when the camera comes out!

@jacquelinelarkspur I know they wouldn't suit drab me, but I've been thinking about contact lenses for Fiona - disposable ones just for the one day a week when I can fully transform.  I can then get any fashion glasses, including off-the-shelf ones for reading & screen work and sunglasses, to add to them.  In drab mode all of these are also from the optician, due to my unequal prescription.

My usual glasses don’t suit Lucy either. The ones in my profile pic have no prescription and were intended to wear with my disposable contacts, but they’re intended for when I’m out cycling and so only good for distance.

If I wanted to read my phone while wearing them I’d need to place it about 10 feet away, so not really practical.

Very true, I wear glasses to, I have succumbed to varifocals, I've picked thick black frames a la Michael Caine from The Ipcress File. Samantha doesn't go anywhere without her cat-eye frames..

Hi Kay~

It's the hosiery. Always was, always will be. As soon as I start pulling hose or stockings on, I feel like I am back. I don't have a set order I like to do things, but i have noticed that whether it is the first thing or the 5th item I put on, that is when I feel that pink wave come over me.

Great topic and responses!

Samantha has it!  I thought about an answer as for the item and I came up with the same answer. There is merit in everything worn for various reasons but for the 'Yes I've got this' the final piece is the glasses, the sum of all parts.
