For those not in transition or living full time, have you got one permanent thing that's at least mainly femme you can't change when you go to drab ?  May be a tattoo , a piercing or something more imaginative but you always wanted it and got it done .

For me it's my belly button piercing , I love it, currently sporting a pink cubic zircona ❤️

I'm also seriously considering a foot / ankle tattoo maybe a nice flower . Was going to go for that a while back but discovered the tattooist was a bit of a chauvinist (if thats the right term ) and declined to do it because the image was "for girls".

@kayt It would have to be the loss of body hair. I am working on making it permanent.

@harriette my aim too. Unlike most genetic girls I enjoy my full shave but .......it's getting a bit tedious as I strive for smoother for longer x

@kayt agree, shave some part of my body daily.   Very slowly plucking the eyebrows so as not to draw  attention with a radical change.

@kayt I am a bit surprised as to which hair is the most resilient to removal and which ones are not. My legs seem to resit my efforts the most. After a couple of years using IPL and, now, an epilator, my leg hair seems to have given up. My chest and belly hair seem less likely to resist, fortunately, because of the pain involved there.

If anybody is just starting to attack their hair, I can certainly recommend starting on your legs first.

@kayt,I haven't gotten anything that makes it on a daily basis. It seems a brave step. I just recently got breast forms and bras and so many other nice things. But the only thought that returns as something I may do, is going camping as me. Time will tell, stories like yours help. Thanks

@kayt Well not as permanent as a tattoo or piercing but I do keep my body smooth from head to toe, clear on fingers and painted toenails. I shape my eyebrows a touch feminine and have been called out on my hairless legs while golfing with the “ boys” .

@kayt Well, I've never come across a tattooist with thinking like that before. I'm sure there are plenty of others who will do whatever you want with no problems. I've had pierced ears for over 40 years now with fairly big ball closure rings, it was seen as a bit radical back then (Arr jim lad, shiver me timbers etc) but no-one is surprised by it these days.

@sashabennett Nor had I until I met him lol. He and his business partner , both Bulgarians and conservative in many ways are very good at what they do , but as I was in drab I suspect he was concerned for my sanity and his reputation 😀

@kayt

For me it’s female slippers!
I’ve always struggled with mens slippers for some reason.

About 2 years ago I needed to nip outside so I slipped on my wife’s mule slippers. They’re from Moshulu (UK)

They were really quite comfortable, so I asked her if she’d mind if I ordered some for myself. As I dress in secret, she surprised me by saying “not at all”.

So I duly bought some nice cranberry ones and have been wearing that style ever since. She did raise her eyebrows a little when I bought a replacement pair that were blush pink, but didn’t seem that surprised.

I’ve now just bought a third pair, and I’m back to cranberry

@ellyd22

Well they’re permanent until they wear out, so semi permanent.

What is permanent is that I’m sticking to female slippers.

As Rick Astley says “Never going to give you up” 😀

New slippers are amazing 🙂

Each pair feels wonderful.

Voluptuous, even.

Every time you buy some, it's a pleasure.

Really.

Get out and buy some more!

Others may say that's a bad idea.

Idiots!

Never listen to them ...

Go shopping.

Take your time,

Obviously.

Great slippers will relax you

In even the worst of times.

Various styles are available.

Enjoy them all.

Your comfort is the most important thing;

Or so you'll come to

Understand 🙂

Utterly comfortable slippers?

Perfection.

@kayt I keep my legs and armpits shaved all the time now.   I also thin the hair on my arms and shape my eyebrows.   If somebody looked close enough, they would see that I do this but it hasn't happened so far and I really don't expect it to anytime soon if ever.   Most people just don't see details.

@lauren114y daughter tooke.to have my eyebrows and nails done last year as a birthday treat . It was great . After that I have kept my eyebrows under control lol and I don't think anyone has noticed . They certainly haven't commented.

I've been thinning out arm hair for a while now . Last summer I went the full distance and the whole lot went . Like legs it feels and looks great . For a while I was paranoid in drab but now , don't care .

@kayt Many years ago, I took the Advice of a tgirl friend and very gradually began to thin my eyebrows. Now after nearly thirty years of sporting brows that are easily feminized when out as Genivieve, I have been complimented a number of times on them. At the same time, I have never had anyone say anything about them when in drab.

Pierced ears. Was 3 in each. But the third have closed over. Polished toenails. Long hair. And trimmed and shaped(not overtly) eyebrows. Shaved legs. And occasionally arms.

I got my ears pierced last year as a birthday present and love wearing earrings all the time. When in public they are studs or sometimes small hoops although I have worn some small danglers out a couple times. One of the things I loved about having my ears pierced is I can change my look depending on my mood and how I'm dressed.

XOXO

Getting my eyebrows waxed. I have been trying to find my right eyebrow shape for some time now. The last time in I told my tech she has two sessions to make them as feminine as she can over those two sessions. I don't know if it is possible to get them real femme, but we are trying.

Before I even felt the first urges that I recognise as overtly femme, I already had hair loss on my lower legs from waxing - most of it just doesn't grow back anymore.  The more I think about it though, my fondness for body hair removal, dating right back to when it all started growing, must itself have been a femme urge.  Now we are where we are, I'd like to get my ears pierced.  And if I were to get a tattoo, it would involve some design around the words 'More earth than sea' - a lyric from my favourite Genesis song.  I'm not sure about various interpretations of their meaning, but I can apply them very well to my own personal situation.

Long hair, waxed legs year round, one femme-ish oceanic sleeve tattoo with whales and dolphins (the other arm is quite masculine). That's probably it for now. Planning to pierce my other ear, and really want an unequivocally feminine tattoo eventually. Facial hair removal is my greatest wish however.

I don't care for tattoos, so that's out.  But I have had my ears pierced.  I recently tried packing Charlotte away, but that didn't last.  In the course of that time, one piercing closed up so much I couldn't get a post through it anymore.  Went back to the same store and had it opened up.

I'm considering trying IPL for my facial and chest hair.  I know that's not permanent, but I'm not quite prepared to opt for electrolysis just yet.

Also not necessarily permanent, but potentially lasting, is an attempt at feminization with herbal supplements.  I'm giving this a try now, but will remain reticent on the details as, IIRC, that's frowned upon topic in the public forums.

Long hair, pierced ears. Hairless legs. Some parts, chest etc, are staying hairy at my wife's request, though I do shave a little if I'm wearing a lower cut top,

I can ditto some responses.  I keep my body shaved (chest, back, arms, and legs).  This has not been much of an issue with friends and family as I have been doing it since I was teenager due to being a competitive swimmer and cyclist.  I have also for the past three years been using colored polish on my toenails (except Memorial Day through Labor Day) and clear polish on my finger nails.

Technically it’s not permanent, but I don’t ever plan to stop again. I shave everything except for my head every day. It’s so good to have smooth arms, and legs!
Your belly button piercing sounds so cool! Enjoy that!!
