The Incentive I Needed

I am very partial to beer and food and over the years I have developed what is often called a 'beer belly'.  I have often cut back for a while but then lapsed - not least because it is not unusual for men to carry excess weight around their middles.

My discovery of crossdressing has changed all that.  While, as a man, I can get away with a beer belly, I quickly discovered that it looks awful when squeezed into a dress or anything made of lycra.  The belly HAS to go, so I haven't had an alcoholic drink for the last week.  I'm not missing it and am looking forward to a slimmer future as a man and a much more attractive one as a woman.

Have any of you girls had similar experiences?

Yesss I know exactly what you mean. Not too long ago I was a sugar addict! Consuming what I figured to be at least 3 cups a sugar a day on a minimum day. It all went to my belly. After my father was shortly diagnosed with diabetes I thought to myself, "oh my this is my future."   So, I started to research and it led me to intermittent fasting. I didn't discard sugar all together but it's more natural. When I'm allowed to have it it's usually in the form of honey. I lost 27 lbs my first week  all in my stomach. Unfortunately, in my bum too but I do not miss my "beer belly".   It can be done  buckle up and tell that alcohol that you are in charge and not it. Who is stronger? The alcohol? Or you?

rock on gurl!  Cheering for you!!

Thanks for your positive reply.   With the support of you and the other girls on this site, I'm sure that I will succeed this time.  A girl needs to look her best!  My target is to be able to put on a nice dress and look presentable by Christmas (that is probably when I will get my first wig).

Now that I have discovered the joys of crossdressing and the support on this site, I'm sure I will make it.  A slinky dress will make sure of it!

Hi Diane,

I too love beer and food. And like you want to look as good as possible in a dress.  The beer belly can go away. Course cutting out bread and eating more greens has helped me as well as only having a beer once in a very great while.  You can do it girl!! I know you can!

Hugs,

Michelle

Thanks Michelle

I will get into that dress!  I've lost over 7 pounds in the last three weeks and only had one small beer.   My recent discovery of crossdressing  has really made a difference and all the support on CDH keeps giving me the encouragement I need.

I know this feeling all too well! Beer isn't the culprit for me though. Carbs and sweets are it! I have to get back on it and lose this belly. Now to find some clothes that motivate me to get in them!

The support I have been getting from you girls and the determination to get into a tight dress is paying off - virtually no beer for the whole of August, few sweet treats and, so far, 12 pounds weight loss!  I think I've turned a corner after so many failed attempts.  Thank you, ladies!

YES!  I have this issue currently, only its from (stress) eating and not getting enough exercise!

On weekends I've taken to wearing skinny jeans, "jeggings" or capri length jeans, all womens.  They fit great (under my belly), but would really look fantastic if and when I lose the weight!  I've done so in the past, but it is a chore.  I too need to find the right incentive, and wanting to look fabulous in my (girl) clothes has to make the difference, especially because I want to purchase a little black dress!

Hang in there and stay in touch, let me know how you are doing.

Hi Diane!  I have lost 50 lbs in 6 months! The secret???? Cut out carbohydrates and sugars. No soda, no alcohol, no pastries, breads, cakes or candy. Check the labels on everything and see how many carbs per serving. Confine your carb intake to 30 gms per meal x 3 for total of 90 carbs per day. Confine yourself to 8 glasses of liquids....water coffee tea per day if possible. Stop using salt as it makes you retain liquids in your skin cells....no chip, salted peanuts and snacks. This will knock off weight and shrink beer belly. Is working for me after years of dieting. Mild exercising help as well. Hope this is helpful....went down 44 to 40 in pants and dresses from 3x to 2x and a little.

Good luck with the challange.

Dame Veronica
