Girls, if you ever need a confidence boost go to Wal-Mart. Look around at all the GG's and feel good about yourself. You are undoubtedly better dressed than 75% of them. They are either slobs or morally bankrupt. I was dressed simply, blue jean skirt and striped top, and I looked Great! I glanced up at one of the security monitors and said "Oh, that's a nice looking woman. Wait, that's me!" SMILE
And makeup? Most only do light makeup if at all. Some need to watch YouTube and learn again. OMG I've seen better makeup on 5 year olds! I cheated and didn't shave (early in the day I can get away with it) but used concealer and light makeup, eye liner and mascara. I looked better than almost all of them.
There were a few that looked fantastic, I yearn to be that pretty but those years are gone. I'm excited to be a attractive senior woman and Wal-Mart confirms I'm doing a good job being a woman. I sometimes think that some of those people should have their GG status revoked.
So ladies, go to Wal-Mart, or any similar store, and get an ego boost!
❤

The Joys of shopping wal-mart is late in the night or when they were open 24 hours see so many interesting people. specially on a weekend. Speaking of being natural first thing will do when transition at the end of year. hehe. no makeup but nicely dressed,
Donna
Thank God, that there is a reason to go into a Walmart. It is not an institution I would enter otherwise. They have generally been horrible employers and very destructive to local businesses. And some members of the family (at least by marriage) have been very shady in their dealings related the various sports teams they own.
Well I will get off my hobbyhorse now.
Hugs

Lately the only place I have been able to go in the grocery store, and I quite agree with you. Shopping midday in a smallish town it is mostly GG's, and they run the gamut much as you describe. It doesn't seem to matter their age, some older ones are dressed well, jewelry. Others aren't nearly as nicely done up. It is very interesting how some women like present themselves no matter what.
As an aside. Several years ago I lost my God Mother at the advanced age of 95, but even in her 90's she still always wanted to "put her face on" first. Just depends on the person.

Thanks Amy for bringing back a wonderful memory of my mother who couldn’t go out until she in her words “put my face on” too... I have fond memories when I was under 10 mesmerized watching mom put her powder, rouge, and lipstick... no mascara or eyeshadow...because she was allergic. I aspire to be as pretty as she. She is my angel now and she definitely is looking over me...
That is why the male (and female) door greeters at the Walmarts in my area tend to remember me. Not only do I present more of a female appearance than the majority of female shoppers, but I also give them a nice smile and say hello.
Yet they always have an endless supply of job applicants wanting to work for them?
I can not believe what people wear to go shopping. When did Ugg boots and pajamas become fashionable? Or the 200+ pound woman in tiny short shots and tiny tank top?
There is three Walmarts close by. Two of them look like you walked into the ghetto. Floors are filthy, items laying on the floor all over. Items are locked up on the shelves. The makeup department has it's own check out and only one way in and out. 2 workers there all the time. I avoid that store like the plague.
The third Walmart is in an a newer part of the city. Higher end homes. It is hard to believe it is the same company. Nothing locked up, most people properly dressed.
Not a Walmart fan, But bought my first panties and bra there on a whim. Only place here I could do that. Thank god for self checkput
Walmart is like going to the circus! I love the freak show! Peopleofwalmart what a great site!

Think somewhere can actually see photos of people and their dress shopping and walking around in Walmart.
I am not in favor of your categorising people you don't know. I don't like it when it is done to me. Have years of being categorized along with lots of others on this site. Calling people slobs or morally bankrupt is totally out of line. Know people of all kinds that shop at Walmart and how they live their lives or have to live their lives because of life history. It may not be how they wanted their lives to turn out. My fortune or misfortune thru life has had me in the need of pleasures like a shower or a bed to sleep in. I was lucky and fought my way out. If you think about your own life how luck has had a lot to do with where you are today.
Luck saved me from getting stage 4 lung cancer. Luck put we in the place where my life turned around. Hard work got me to the place where I could build my own company. Please look past flaws of others as you would like people to look past your flaws. There just may be a person that changes your life for the better.
Yes Donna, the website is called "People of Walmart".
Personally, I haven't been actually inside of a Walmart since the lockdown began in March 2020. Yes, I have purchased from them online and picked up groceries kerbside over the last year. I suppose it's time to start going back inside for the entertainment of it all.
LOL been going myself just sometimes when get little bored just to see everyone. Cheap entertainment.
That may be, but why? In many areas they are a major employer, if you want to work you go where the jobs are. From the people I know who have worked there it was not a good gig. You can take the store out of Arkansas but you can’t that Arkansas out of the store.
I will admit that I am not a fan of the family or the stores. So sue me.
