Hello girls.

bit of a rambling story.... In more ways than one..

Weekend off = grace time...so Friday after work is prep time, get rid of everything male, well, everything that I can!!....drab packed away, clean shaven everywhere, false nails fitted, toenail varnish checked and topped up, sitting in bra, panties, forms and a spritz of perfume for the evening. Nice glass of red, bit of Dire Staits playing ( tunnel of love, skateaway, love over gold etc)...log on to CDH....perfect.

Went to bed a very contented girl.

Saturday...got up shower, big of light make up, dressed and had breakfast.

Now, since Jan 1st, I have been doing a lot of walking, to get rid of a bit of " tummy" through over indulgence. I have a couple of six mile routes I have covered regularly.

Now my problem is, it's a beautiful bright, crisp day, and although it's against all my planning, i start to feel like walkies !!!.....mainly because Tuesday and Wednesday I got soaked....and I fancied payback on this lovely day.

Eventually I decided to go for it...so I drabbed up...( Grace doesn't do these walks, too sweaty and far to much respect for her clothes )....just put on gloves to cover my nails.

I-pod in and off we go..about two miles in, I realised I had definitely made the right decision... beautiful crisp day..albeit lots of people and dog walkers to avoid.....

anyway, had a few " good mornings" as I marched round, after about an hour and a half i finally hit my street and approached my door. reached into my pocket for my door keys, blew out my cheeks and licked my lips....and tasted it !!

Oh oh..

I had done the entire walk wearing ' take the stage" pillar box red lipstick....ooops.

This is not the first time....

a few months ago I posted how I had phone trouble, and went into town in drab, to the phone shop wearing lipstick...oh well, maybe I shoud book an altzeimers appointment....if only I could remember their number??

....how was your weekend???

Scarlett, Duchess of Rimmel xx

A familiar story, Grace.  All to easy to forget something, whether it be lipstick, nails, earrings, bracelet(s), rings.  Yup, done most of them!  And, all I do is think 'Meh!' and carry on!

I have forgotten things many times in the past. Lipstick is right up top of the list along with obviously ladies rings on my fingers, or a bracelet on my wrist.  My earrings are hard to forget since they are almost all dangly ones, but I have gotten in the car to go to work only to see them in my rearview mirror at some point on my drive.  It's not alzheimers, just a little residual pink fog that hasn't cleared yet.

Oh Grace... i did the same thing when exiting my local hardware shop I had to stop and pay... the young woman cashier complimented me on my nail polish! I was in drab at the time... the only thing I could do was to discuss the colour with her and to take on board her recommendations!

I think people would be more concerned about seeing a Duchess out in public without a bit of lippie. Wouldn’t you? I believe we have all at some point or another, forgotten to remove some tell tale sign of who we really are. If I’m not mistaken these are referred to as a form of Freudian slip? It falls back on the quandary of the fear of being caught and the thrill of being seen.

By the way, if the duchess is the one trying to lose the excess weight, then the duchess should be the one taking the walks. Just my humble, non-Royal, opinion.

I’m sure you brightened up the other dog walkers day Grace, just like you brighten up our day here at CDH.

I’m sure you looked fabulous, maybe put the idea into others heads, if Grace can do it I want to as well, I want gorgeous lips!!!

And nothing bad happened, so its all good.

Thanks for sharing.

❤️Bianca

PS I’m on the East coast so my lips are a lovely shade of blue at the moment, cyanosis🤣brrrr.

Hi Grace,

I drove to the bank to deposit a check with my makeup on purpose. I figured, the little camera can't see much, no one will know. I was wrong. Looks like a hi def screen. I can see the girl inside the bank on the screen and she does a double take when she sees me. Then she relaxed and was very polite. It was a fun experience.

Quality.

Can't say that I've forgotten something but, when doing the shopping the SO has lent over and whispered in my ear "your thong's showing" There was no point whispering, being bright pink, it was loud enough on its own. 😊

I've almost outed myself to our lad a few times, one time forgot to flush the loo when there was the lipstick blotting paper down there. SO graciously accepted the blame for that one.
