I wanted to compare notes. When I tap into Marsha, I feel an infusion of power that Ray doesn't have. I have been listening to a Madonna song titled, "Dress You Up." I imagined a video in my mind where a group of women are transforming Ray into Marsha. Marsha smiles, laughs, and is more in touch with herself than Ray. Madonna sings, "Gonna dress you up in my love, from your head down to your toes..." Thoughts ladies?
I totally agree with you. When that song came out I was in my mid twenties and all I could think about was having Madonna dress me up.
I honestly would not recognize a Madonna song if my life depended on it. Now, if you want to talk about The Velvet Underground, I can relate, since I have shaved my legs for nearly forty years.
I don't feel more powerful when I dress up but I do feel a sense of joy and contentment that is addictive.
