At the bottom of my wardrobe, I have a large bag that I put all the stuff in that I don't like, doesn't suit me, is too OTT or I have close doubles of. It's a LARGE bag.
Whilst my wife is away, I thought that I'd go through it, and make sure that all the stuff unsuitable for the charity shop is removed, and that There is only stuff in there that I'm happy to get rid of.
I made the mistake of trying the items on again, this time with breasts.... I don't normally wear breasts.
BIG mistake. Out of the 8 dresses, 5 of them are staying. Out of I don't know how many tops, 6 are staying. The skirt pile has fared slightly better. I'm only keeping one very short, very tight PU skirt that I can't bear to lose. Out of the unsuitable for charity shops pile (6 items) three are staying (I'm a bit of a sl*t at heart).... The dresses and tops look soooo much nicer with boobs. I've also lost weight since I started the "unwanted"collection, so things do generally look a little better on me. Also, because of this, I will be adding to the collection a small number of skirts that are now too big for me. A couple I will get altered as I love them.
I really need to make room. My skirt shelf and my tops shelf are bursting. My dress hanger cannot take any more. I'm supposed to be adding to the charity shop pile, not taking from it!!!!!!!
I have 4 hours before I have to collect my wife from the station. A quick cup of tea and I'm going back up to go through the stuff not in the bag, to see what can go. This could take a while.... Send me "be ruthless" vibes.... I'm going to need them!!!!
Its great you've started wearing boobs see the benefit of filling out dresses and tops. Just think of all the new shopping you can do now... yea!
My wife isn't keen on my wearing boobs, so these "saved" items will be only brought out when she's away, which is going to get quite frequent now the country is opening up more, and offices start holding meetings in person rather than over video links.
Shame really.... Cos I REALLY like them!!!!! 🙂
It's already rammed solid. No room for expansion. Hence trying to purge 🙂
There is no more space.... My wife is already commenting that I have a full double wardrobe for all my girly stuff, but only half a double wardrobe for my men's stuff 🙂
My wife isn't crazy about my boobs either so I don't wear them around her, a bra yes but no boobs. I've worn my small silicone enhancers around her before and she only said they weren't so noticeable so I wear them occasionally in front of her with no problem. Having breasts really does make the clothes fit and look better. I have some E boobs she would never like... lol. I think its a female competition thing so I'm not going to stir the hornets nest.
Like most purges it's always hard to relinquish items that are boarder line in the yes column.
My advice to a CD is try on everything with breasts, hip pads not always an essential factor. Because this totally changes the the look of tops and dresses.
You mentioned weight loss another factor, is the slim you remaining or not.
Are the clothes to big?
Do they flatter you?
Are you to old for the Style?
Are they becoming shabby?
Do you have you really wear them?
To me the above means Purge the rest stays, well a bit longer anyway. Remember bag and purge immediately problems solved.

I’m going through exactly the same process, my wardrobe is rammed and so are my draws, my biggest challenge is where to keep all my shoes as I love them all 😂

I have never been any good at removing or donating clothes from my wardrobe.....it has to be on its last legs, and then it's with a heavy heart.....I don't do ruthless vibes🤣🤣
and being useless at maths doesn't help...

I made some progress in the dress department. I went through the dresses on the rack and put a number of them in the bag.... I took a few dresses out of the bag that had been in there a while....I put these dresses on the rack.... I had TWO hangers left over... This means I had gotten rid of two dresses.... Yes, it should have been 6 or more, but two is better than none 🙂
No, no, no - the purge isn't going well if you have thrown anything away from your precious femme wardrobe...

Oh the pain! You do something well and then you do something to spoil it. But to make matters worse you look so much better in those clothes now. So - a real dilemma and only four hours to go. I have an idea. Move to a much bigger house with two separate dressing rooms. Oh and two large mirrors !
