Today I have been advised that tomorrow, I can go to my storage locker and pick up my copy of the Casa Susanna book. (Sadly the PBS doco is blocked here in OZ),. But then.I have a dear CD friend who has said "ahoy me hearties, I'll try and pirate it for you".
Leaving the book laying around the house is not an option, (Neither was having it delivered to home...) So I'll to site back at night in my recliner and cover the book with an old aircraft mag.. (Old aircraft nut, thats me..).
Next weekend I'll have 36hrs to myself, so I guess I'll read the bulk of it en femme... What a lovely way to spend a day and evening, cos fetr dinner, I can finish off my wine and rerad the bok as well.
Caty.
Hope you really enjoy next weekend Caty 🙂
Amongst others, I bought the Savannah Hauk books recently, and so far I've enjoyed reading them in full Fiona mode, but I ended up being too busy last night. I'm en femme again today, except for wig and makeup as I'll have to re-drab later to go 'home' to the OH, but I might try and get a couple of chapters in over lunchtime.
A while back on another thread about hair removal I mentioned that, unlike many other girls here who let rip (pun intended 🙂 ) with it during the winter, I've not been feeling inclined to maintain my usual hair-free state (arms excepted) this winter. Maybe cause or maybe effect, but I've not quite been the same girl in recent weeks that I had been before the clocks went back, despite progress in various areas.
So I made up my mind that yesterday, being my Fiona night at my own place, I was going to do something about it. From the moment I logged off work I was busy with the waxes and the epilator. It took me all evening but oh, to feel it all coming off! While there are a few sore bits, equally, wow the difference afterwards! Then a rub-down with baby oil to remove wax residue, a gentle shower at body temperature and pat dry, before slipping between clean sheets in my satin chemise and some perfume - heaven!
This morning I was meeting my department head, a colleague of many years, for a breakfast catch-up at a cafe in town. He also works from home, so we don't see each other much. Work doesn't know about Fiona, but that didn't stop me under-dressing in my favourite bra for my drab chest, matching panties and I dug out the suspender belt and stockings from the back of Fiona's underwear & make-up drawer. One leg has unfortunately got a run the whole way down, but that doesn't matter under jeans! With everything feeling absolutely wonderful against my skin, we had a great natter over the full English, he also passed me my works' Xmas gift that I'd been unable to collect in December, which turns out to be Prosecco and chocolates. What more could a girl want from her morning?
But wait, there is more! When I got back, having just swapped drab clothes for a soft jersey dress, forms and jewellery (no make-up or wig because I'm going 'home' to the OH this evening), I answered the door to the postman, and received a couple of items that have somehow happened to become mine on eBay 😳. So right now, I'm in a pair of bronze low-heeled open evening shoes with big diamante flowers, and a denim shirt-dress that flares nicely from the waist, fits me beautifully even down the sleeves - it seems I'm more of a size 18 than a 16 - yet doesn't make it as far as my knees. The shoes are a little tight, but I haven't felt this girly in weeks ... I just wish I didn't have to take it all off again in an hour or so!
Yesterday when we were out in town, the OH bought an ankle-length blue & white stripy dress in a charity shop, like a full-length slip dress but in a soft stretchy fabric. We both saw it and thought, that would be lovely for the evenings during the boutique cruise in the Adriatic that we're going on in May, to celebrate her 60th. She tried it on and apart from the shoulder straps which need stitching to a different length, it looked lovely on her 🙂
I'm not out to her, but I'm sure my having shared her eye for the dress in the first place, and then being interested, attentive and complimenting about it, really ought to have raised a big pink flag 😳 I'm not sure if she's just not looking for them, or deliberately choosing not to see them, because there was some half-humorous comment along the lines of 'it's not going to fit you of course'.
Inside, naturally I was just wishing so hard that I could try it on myself, especially since we can actually take the same dress size in some styles and, with nothing covering the shoulders, this is one of them. So this morning, ahem ... I might have just now taken advantage of her having gone to church 😳 She'd left a strapless bra on the floor as well, to which I added some of my socks, not ideal but better than nothing. I can somewhat guiltily admit that the dress did feel lovely round my newly-waxed legs, but I'll have to be content with that brief experience, because it would be the bra that would stop it ever working for me for real. Both items were carefully replaced as I'd found them, of course - fingers crossed!
Today, nothing in particular has happened but I found a way to brighten up a grey and rainy day 🙂
Only recently bought this long dress and this is the first time I've spent much time in it, or with forms and padding underneath. I can see it being a staple if we get a hot Summer - I'll need to buy some more things to go with it of course!
I know I've posted a link on another relevant thread, but I hope you don't mind if I post it here as well. I just felt like it also belonged with the other post for this outfit. Thank you 🙂
