Good morning, ladies. For those who have been living in a cave these past few weeks, you may be aware that today there will be a Total Eclipse that will travel over 2000 miles across 14 states. One will be right over my city of Rochester NY. at 3:10-3:20, there will be totality of the Sun and things will reach 100% darkness.
This will me [ 'Meghan's'] one and only viewing of the event. My male self has seen it twice, but since I'll be with my wife viewing it from our front lawn in our suburb of Rochester I cannot dress for the event, So I'll celebrate tomorrow while she's at work and dress up as an office secretary and go downtown for lunch, then change to casual with leggings, sneakers, sweater to spend some time cruising the malls. (Picture below shows the path of the eclipse,) Does any other 'girls' live in any of the states or cities that the sun passes over?

Hi Meghan,
I do not think I will have as good a view as you will, but I expect to see this as well. Should be very interesting
I traveled up from NJ to Rochester to see the eclipse. I just hope the clouds cooperate.
Me also. I am in Texas
The sun in moon clothing…quite the opposite of how I feel when dressed. I wish all who will see it, excellent, cloud free weather - but do protect your eyes…makeup is not enough! I am so jealous being stuck here in Europe.
hope you all have a great time.
Hugs
Christine
I am in Arkansas not too far from Little Rock, partial clouds today.
Have my Cats Eye eclipse glasses, Emily's first one..
I'm a bit jealous, nothing to see in "sunny" Scotland. I did travel down to Cornwall in 1999 for the last UK eclipse but it was completely clouded over. Darn it!
Here in northern Illinois, the eclipse was not total. Not having glasses, I poked a hole in a piece of cardboard with a needle and was able to see an image of the crescent sun projected onto my deck. Better than nothing.
I live in Cornwall, it was very briefly dark but has been cloudy and raining for most of the day. It's rained for months.
I’m in NJ and it’s going on now. Of course the clouds moved in at the same time so all I’m seeing is a strange reddish color outside. To bad because this girl won’t be around the next time !

It was too cloudy to see anything but darkness. We could see some light looking out on the horizon. My son, 60 miles west in Niagra Falls was able to see a little, but there was no sign of the sun in Rochester
Atlanta, Georgia - It turned into an odd dusk @ 3:05 PM (EDST).
Then within about a hour the bright sun was back out.
Driving home and pulled in the driveway when it happened. Got out of the car and it was sunny, but it felt like I was wearing sunglasses....except I wasn't. Clear blue sky and everything was lit up with bright sunshine, but it was not as vibrant is you would expect it. It felt like a 'dark' sunshine if that makes any sense.
I used the special glasses and looked up and caught the moon just as it passed the center of the sun. The sun itself looked like a crescent moon, but instead of looking white, it looked orange.
Felt sorry for all the people who drove for hours to get a good spot in southern Illinois only to have cloud cover... I heard a bunch of people raced over to Terra Haute Indiana to get a good view there.
Here in Panama it only darkened 4%. Frankly I couldn't appreciate it. It also was raining heavily.

Hi Meghan,
I’m next door to you in Vermont. 100% here too.
