looking at the news tricky times lay ahead for us transgender people
in the united states
A rule finalized on Friday by the Department of Health and Human Services means that the federal government no longer recognizes gender identity as an avenue for sex discrimination in health care.
and in the united kingdom
Boris Johnson is set to scrap plans to allow people to change their legal gender by “self-identifying” as male or female, it has been reported.
Measures drawn up under Theresa May’s government to enable transgender people to change their birth certificate without a medical diagnosis have been ditched by the prime minister’s team, according to the Sunday Times.
I think the future is going to tricky for everyone, especially us! Don't let others suppress or stop us but also be safe! Take care of yourself!!
Things like this make me heart sick. I hate to say it but I think it will take something giant like Stonewall (but please God, let it be peaceful) for us to truly gain national and world consciousness. Just bear in mind that if/when that happens change, true change, will probably take a long time. Stonewall happened back in 1969. Some of the girls here weren't even born yet. Although I would dearly love to see that change happen in my lifetime, the pragmatist in me isn't so sure.
Agreed Cara , Amber and Kay we can only hope for good things to come from some of this but not looking so good. So like all of us girls here we have to stick together and be safe and if that don't work come here I have a large country home with lots of bedrooms hugs girlfriends .

I read a fair amount of self help material and so for what it's worth I have my own theory. Some people do not have very much self love and self acceptance. They also are comfortable with their own sexuality. Often they don't even like themselves. They look at others, like us, and project their own feeling on us. Face it, a lot of transgender people are assaulted and often killed. They think we are bad an evil. And it's just not transgender, substitute anyone different.
Change would take people to look within themselves and heal that first. It seems like we are going backwards with this. People are looking outside themselves for things to blame.
Sadly, I think it's going to take a long time to heal the mess this world has become.
Stay safe my sisters!
It hurts me so much to think our ignorant government can't understand what these people have to deal with.
In this particular time of social turmoil and irrational political decisions, I fear for all of us in this community. There are so many reasons why I want to be out in public right now. My concern is that there will be a physical altercation before, if any, words are spoken. When I can go out dressed, it will always be with a least one or man or woman in hopes of a peaceful time out. To all my sisters and gay friends, please stay safe!
