Is it part of our upbringing, culture, who we are, or are we troubled souls?
Current culture accepts our choices, but do we each accept our own choices?
Are we forced to crossdress by society?
Upbringing can't be changed and we accept who we are. Or despise it. Either way, our path is engraved in the pavement.
Are we troubled souls? No, we are ok who we are, as we are, as who we will be.
Its our choice how we dress.
We all live our life as if its our own life.
Hi Claudia,
We all live our life as if its our own life.
- agreed, sometimes whether we like it or not. Life seems to have a life of its own. A certain John Lennon gives me solace when things aren't working out like they're supposed to:
"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans"

Hi Claudia. Thank you for your thoughts. They pose a legitimate question.
"Are we troubled souls?" you query. You answer, "no." May I disagree?
Whether it be CDing or being trans or alcohol or gambling or pornography or anger or depression or __________ fill in the blank; as part of the human condition these things trouble us.
Many in our community say; indeed, I myself declare it regularly, "this is just who I am" and thereby justify our actions. No doubt others in their own struggle justify their actions with the same reasoning.
It is written: Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble. Troubles whatever they be and whatever their cause are part of our human condition.
We can not escape them, but we can manage them and in learning to do so can profit from them. I know I am a better person because I am trans, not in spite of it.
Your final statement is so true, "We all live our life as if its our own life.."
We do live our lives, troubles and troubled, for indeed it is our own life to live. Doing so successfully and positively is our collective challenge is it not?
Kindly,
Charlene
