Do you have experience in running or biking while tucked & dressed?

I am already pretty good at concealing things for “daily dressing” situations, including wearing pleather leggings in public several times and wearing a blouse short enough that it did not cover much below the waist.  I have been swimming in public in a one-piece with a convincing tuck as well.  I am good on tucking for these purposes and am not seeking advice on how to cover up or hide while running or biking.

My question is one of comfort, health, and anatomy safety. 😀.

I just had some minor surgery that will keep me off my training for several weeks, and now that I cannot exercise, the thought of doing a triathlon en femme has intrigued me.

I have completed around 20 triathlons, including XTERRA off-road tri, two Ironman 70.3 and one full Ironman 140.6 (yup - 140.6 miles in one race!).  When you do races like this, you typically wear what is called a trisuit.  It is a one-piece garment that has bike shorts on the bottom and a snug, moisture-wicking top like a bike jersey with a long zipper up the front.  BY FAR the most comfortable and practical thing to wear for swimming, biking, and running in one race.

Plus, they look AWESOME!!!  Very colorful and cool styles.

So, short post now long, if you have attempted running/biking while tucked, how well did it work?  Pain?  Chafing?  Is it possible, or is the increased leg motion from running or sitting on a bicycle seat for hours just not practical?

I am looking for comments from ladies who have done this.  I can speculate as well as anyone else, so chime in only if you have done this, or if you know someone who has, or know of other resources.

Thank you ladies!!!

Being a competitive cyclist myself for the past 35+ years, I doubt I could tuck and sit on a bicycle seat for any length of time. Among fairly obvious reasons (chief among them is sitting on the pushed back part of the tuck if you know what I mean), one issue would be the gaff I use while wearing cycling shorts when the shorts are designed to be worn without underwear. No amount of chamois cream would help with that, let alone the tingling of my preferred cream on my tucked bits wouldn't be pleasant. Might be willing to try it on the trainer, but I really doubt it would work long enough to matter. YMMV though, pun intended. 😀

Trust me, It doesn't work on the trainer.

I train for full tri's tucked with no issues, but the biking on the other hand is a no go for me. I plan to run a full marathon in Sam mode in a few months.

I've done 4 Ironman competitions,  I can't imagine tucking on a 112 mile bike ride. Ouch!

Thank you for the replies… this is the info I was looking for.

I figured the bike would be the biggest challenge.  I did find this seat thst I might try:

How about the run?  I might try a seat like this and see if it is possible.  Maybe for a sprint tri.
Any issues running?

Yeah, I don’t think I’d do an bike Ironman tucked.  That might be the time to break out the tutu and untuck in transition.  If that seat I’m looking at works, I could probably do a sprint or XTERRA.
